As a person who is classified as Asian, I would like to remind people that Blackness and Asianness is not mutually exclusive. Blasians: kids or grandkids of a Black American, African, Melanesian, or Afro-Latinx person and of an Asian person--(as the definition of Asia is a highly unstable category, by Asian I'm referring to a person from the southern, northern, eastern, and southeastern part of the continent of Asia and/or from any adjacent islands that are designated as part of Asia and falling outside of the colonially-imposed regional-political sphere of Oceania. As much as many of us would like to practice self-determination and throw off those labels and see ourselves as part of Oceania, we can't really control how we're categorized. In short, we are classified as Asian but many of us don't identify as Asian.) Afro-Asians, people of mixed African and Asian ancestry, and also Black Asians, Asians with primarily African, Black American, Melanesian, and/or Afro-Latinx ancestry. (I identify as part-Black Asian, one of the many shades of brown.)
