Assignment for Advanced Illustration I.Theme: dreams and/or nightmares.
I had a dream last week that there was this great tree that bore cube-shaped apples. The taste of the fruit was spectacular, but the land at the tree's feet was impassable so that one could only gaze wistfully from a distance.
I could fly, like I can in every dream of mine, so I flew to the top and gathered what I could for those waiting from afar.
I don't really look like that. XD

Apart from this looking awesome, I like your digital art style. Many times, digital art looks like poo; this looks amazing. It looks very traditionally made. Great job coloring and wonderful line quality. Super.

The dreams are such a great source of inspiration. Wish I'd see myself flying more often in my dreams but as it happens, I'm afraid of heights so I dream of flying very rarely. xD
Anyway this is probably one of my biggest favorites from you, the composition and the wings just rock. :3 Especially the flow with the colours in the background is very smooth and so pleasing to look at. I'm also a big fan of trees and since yours is pretty original (the tasty and odd shaped fruits make it even better) I like it even better. Just a great work<3

I love how THICK the tree is and the cluster of fruit. It really looks like it came out of a dream.

Blah! She really doesn't look like me, though, except we both have long hair with a similar color. No matter, though!
I've been playing with textures, too. ^^ I'm trying to achieve a linework style sort of reminiscent of old school illustrators like Arthur Rackham and Dulac but still with my own twist.
