Personality:

[+] LOYAL | HONEST | BRAVE | CHARMING | INQUISITIVE

Yumihiko follows the Bushido Code to the best of his abilities in order to be as close to what he believes is a Samurai. Although it may be a little inaccurate, he fits the bill for the romanticization of the classic Samurai. Yumihiko has always been Loyal by default, once he befriends someone, he would do everything in his power to keep them safe from harm. Even if he'd complain about it afterwards, but that's part of his honest nature. Yumihiko is very brave and will often times have no problem stepping into fights to stop them, or speaking up if he believes something is wrong. Due to his looks and his fame, he comes off as very charming to most people, often earning compliments from strangers or sometimes coupons from various stores. Due to his upbringing and being homeschooled for most of his life, he loves learning and experiencing new things, which causes him to be extremely curious, even with things that normal people might not even think twice about.

[-] SHALLOW | SPOILED | CRYBABY | BLUNT | EGOTISTICAL

Yumihiko is very vain and shallow, looks are extremely important to him, almost as important as upholding the Bushido code. He doesn't like to beat around the bush, and often comes off as blunt, but that is moreso because he values the truth more than someone's feelings. He grew up in a wealthy home, with a relatively big family. When he'd cry, the way his father would make him stop would be to just give him whatever he desired, causing him to quickly become spoiled. His habit of crying to get what he wanted never seemed to leave him, because crying also gave him any sort of attention. Known as a crybaby, he developed an ego, getting what he wanted all the time, and even gaining fame on top of fortune made him become a bit big headed. Being vain only adds to his egotistical behavior.

tl;dr: Born into a wealthy gang, Yumihiko was raised to believe that he was in a family of noble Samurai, causing him to want to be one himself. He recieved everything and anything he could want, and began training at a young age due to his desires. Yumihiko became very fascinated with television, cried to be on it, and eventually became well-known for his skill at such a young age and earned the title of a modern samurai. He boosted Japan's pride and even received his own fanbase. Due to one interviewer revealing that his family was a gang to him without realizing he was unaware of the fact, he confronted his parents, who in turn revealed to him everything.

Angry with his family, Yumihiko leaves to track down his Biological mother, who was a prostitute. Using his wealth he had recieved from his fame, he helped provide for her and got her back on her feet, in return she helped him apply to Kakumu high. Tired of the stress of life and just tired of his world completely changing, he can't help but wish for a simplier life.

History:

Hibiki Masanori had an affair with Momoki Iwasaki, a local prostitute. Momoko became pregnant after the exchange, wanting a child, Hibiki forced Momoko to keep the child. Providing her with shelter and food in return. As soon as Yumihiko was born, he was taken from his mother, who had fell in love with him on sight. Yumihiko grew up with his father, and has no idea that his biological mother isn't his father's wife.

Growing up, his family would often spoil Yumihiko rotten. His family was quite literally a gang, which was why it was so big. Often time the people in his family weren't blood-related, but growing up in that mess, Yumihiko believed that they were. He had no reason to not believe them after all. Not wanting a child to find out about what his family actually did, or where they managed to gain so much money, his uncle by blood, Daichi decided to fabricate a story. He told Yumihiko at a very young age that he was a descendant of a noble family. One that was known to be a family filled with strong Samurai. That is why they had so much money, and why people seemed to show them respect when they walked the streets.

Yumihiko fully believed this lie, so much so, that he wanted to become a Samurai. Playing along with what Yumihiko wanted, so that he wouldn't cry or be upset, Daichi did his best to make the lie as believable as possible. He decided to homeschool Yumihiko, and provide him with anything he wanted. Daichi would give him almost everything except technology.

Daichi was an older man, and he didn't like change. Other than basic stuff, he generally kept important technology away from Yumihiko, not only due to his own beliefs, but because he wanted to make sure Yumihiko never found out the truth of their clan. Speaking to Hibiki about the situation, and Yumihiko's want to become a Samurai, he hired Yumihiko his very own Kendo trainer.

Training from the young age of 6, on up into his teenage years, Yumihiko became very skilled at sword fighting. It became something he excelled in, something he took heavy pride into. Around the age of 12, Yumihiko was finally given a television. Mostly because he had gone out with Rin Masanori, Hibiki's wife, and who he believed was his mother. He had spotted a television in the widow of a shop and immediately wanted it, not wanting him to whine or cry, she gave him exactly what he desired.

Yumihiko became entranced with television, generally watching sitcoms and reality tv shows, believing it to be real. To have so many people watching you just live sounded amazing to him. He wanted to show everyone how amazing of a samurai he was, and how great his family was too! Immediately, he started crying and asking Daichi to put him on television, Daichi wanted to refuse. He nearly did before Hibiki simply told him to give Yumihiko what he wanted.

Young, talented, and spoiled rotten, Yumihiko Masanori was viewed on television. The news to be exact. He demonstrated his sword fighting skills, and his father even set up an interview with him. The news crew was very charmed by the young man, and he made the Masanori gang out to be some sort of noble clan. Which in turn pleased Hibiki. As Yumihiko grew older, the more attention he seemed to bring to himself.

Naturally as he aged, he became rather dashing in the looks department, but he also kept appearing on television, becoming well-known to be 'the modern samurai.' Because of this he gained quite the fanbase in Japan, and even in some other countries. He made his country look better, as well as made his family much much richer. Everything was going well for Yumihiko, he had become the Samurai he had always wanted to be, but then, in what felt like an instant, things started to shatter for him once his latest interview aired.

Now that he was 16, and had quite a bit of fame, he had been interviewed again to talk about his training excersizes as well as bits of his personal life. Being single and very attractive definately helped keep his fame alive, in a way, he was like an idol. When the woman interviewing him asked Yumihiko if his family had stopped their gang activity now that he had became a Samurai, Yumihiko was confused, and was unable to answer her question. Even asking her to repeat it quite a few times and making sure she had the right family. Embarrassed, he removed himself from the camera's, returning home only to demand that he'd gain access to more technology.

He hadn't had too much interest in the stuff past the televsion he had required so long ago but now....now he wanted something with the internet. Wanting to shut him up, Hibiki complied as usual and decided to give him a phone. Though it did take him quite a bit, he managed to get on the internet and search his family's name, only to find out that they were in fact a well-known gang that had recently been formed into a much more peaceful group now that the modern Samurai had came into their ranks and changed them. The articles then would go on to talk further about Yumihiko and his skills.

But he was shattered, everything he knew seemed to be wrong, and it scared him. Wanting to remain loyal to his family, and to trust them, he confronted both his father and mother, asking them for the truth. Hibiki decided to tell him everything, even how Yumihiko's mother wasn't really his mother, and his true mother's identity was just some prostitute. Anger seeped into Yumihiko with the sudden news, and he decided to leave his family, to go find his mother and use his money to help her out of the situation she had been in, and to go into public schooling.

He was used to getting everything he wanted, he was used to not having to worry about anything, but now he was providing for his mother, who he managed to track down easily. He wanted her to know that he wanted her to be safe, even if she was a stranger to him, simply because the rest of his family felt like strangers to him now too. What was the point in not trusting a stranger at this point?

Yumihiko's mother seemed to appreciate the care, and slowly but surely managed to get back onto her feet and helped him apply to Kakumu high for a nice education for his remaining years in highschool. She was very proud of her son, and was thankful that he came looking for her, that he even knew she existed. She only saw him on tv, and generally cried whenever he would be on screen. Even though she missed so much from his life, she still loved him more than anything.

Yumihiko on the other hand just felt...tired. Tired of all the stress his family had put him through, he wasn't used to that sort of thing. His life felt like it was doing a 180 in terms of life style, but as long as he could keep up the fame of being a Samurai, he could contininue to provide for his mother. Maybe perhaps, one day, he could be a cute housewife like in the television shows he used to watch, back when life was simpilier. Yeah, that'd be nice...
