for 3 days like5 yrs ago.
i was visting a friend of mine in Portugal, and i thought: "hey BG is like an hr away - Meg away!"
and i did, with my mom.
we stayed by Bayswater staion, and went on a city tour:saw the tower and soctland yard and a few other places. then we went on an awsome Jcak the Ripper night tour! Jack the ripper!
not to mention shopping!
i really want to go back and actually visit the place

I am lame and have never even been to Europe. It's annoying.
I went to Jamaica...twice...but we just stayed at the resort the whole time...and I was with annoying people.
So other than that, I've never been outside the US.
I wish my family was whimsical like you. If we were to ever find ourselves in Portugal (which does not seem likely), I don't think the thought would ever occur to go anywhere with Jack the Ripper night tours...which would be awesome to go on.
What did those consist of, by the way? I'm guessing there were no reenactments...

the jack the ripper tour was crazy good
it started around like 7pm and we went to all the murder sites in london.
the guide was freaking hillarious!
he was dressed up and had a cockney accent. he also insulted us constantly remarking how what disgusting people we were to go on this tour.
we poped on a bus to go to sites we couldn't reach by walking and then afterwards we went out of fish and chips.
it was really great!
favorite moment:
one of the murder sites has a elementary school that was resently built right near to it.
the guide made a comment about a kid having to do a school report about the local area:
"this pitcure is aabout a lady who did naughty stuff at night and then then she got all reddied up. i painted it myself"
...something like that, but it was 10X more funny beacuse he said it with British in his lungs

Ha, nice. I need to go to Britain...eventually. I'm hoping that when college rolls around, I can go there, but who knows.
I want a tour guide with a cockney accent. I AT LEAST need some more British people in Kalamazoo. We have a grand total of none.
I went to some car factory on a class trip, and one of the workers had a British accent...it was awesome.
British kids are the cutest, particularly because of their accents. Like Thomas Sangster. Please, TELL ME you've seen Love Actually. I'm not one for soppy romantic comedies, but it really is the best EVER. It's quite British.

We would be VERY easy pickings. I think that's how I'd want to die--hearing my favorite accent.
