So, I figured I would draw this guy. I found this photo and was pretty inspired.
The blue strip across his face was pretty neat looking, so I knew I just had to draw it.
In case you don't know, this is Jared Leto, the lead singer of 30 seconds to mars.
The color on his face and eyes are prismacolor colored pencils. The background is pastel because that is easier to do quickly.
and here it is.
I spent quite a lot of time on this.

Ooooh thanks! After looking at it now, I agree the blue helps. At first when I started to color it in, I was kind of unsure about it. I still wanted to try it anyway. I'm glad I did.

Super! The colored background moves the face to forefront. The blue eyes and the stripe adds another dimension. All the fine details are very excellent.
