Seraikistan is the region of southern Punjab (Pakistan) inhabited by the Seraiki speaking people.
The Seraiki nationalist movements wish to separate that region into a new province of Seraikistan.
The Seraiki language (Southern Punjabi) is an Indo-European language of the Indo-Iranian subfamily.
The Seraiki movements have been successful at some levels such as creating a sense of collective identity among the Seraiki
speakers, but it still has a long way to achieve its goal of separate province of Pakistan.
Total number of Seraikis is 14 million.
