Kaki's parents divorced when she was very young, and she moved to Kyoto with her mother, who took back her maiden name of 'Hachiya' and gave it to her daughter. She has no memory of life before Kyoto and frankly, doesn't care that she can't remember. After completing her third and final year of middle school, she opted not to continue on to highschool and instead moved into an okiya run by a friend of her mother's in a hanamachi to enter into an apprenticeship as a geisha. She debuted as a maiko three months ago, and has plans to go to Tokyo on a trip with her older sister figure/mentor around the time the Mews return from the Vacation from Hell. During said trip, she'll come to Cafe Mew Mew at some point, and, having compatible DNA, will get turned into a Mew (because obviously Ryou is an opportunistic jerk who isn't letting ANY compatible people escape). Then she'll have to find a way to stay."

The "Vacation from Hell," by the way, refers to a cruise the Mews at Tegaki Mew Mew ( [link] ) went on, only to get shipwrecked and stuck on a deserted island. Kaki's one of the Mews I designed after the trip began, along with Parfait, so she's not actually on the boat or island at all - and like Parfait, she's also beginning as a human and gradually getting immersed into Mew-business.

I've been toying with this idea for awhile now and only recently got a good design down for her. Sooo yeah. Guess that's it...
