Digital colored a drawing/sketch I did in my sketchbook as I loved it a lot

Mara is a strangling demon from norse mythology, the mare can only be female and not male, unlike it's jewish/christian counterpart that is both genders and rides their victims during their sleep and giving them nightmares. The mare on the other hand, she strangles her victims and gives them nightmares. How a mare is born is when an old maiden dies, mother dies during childbirth, the female child goes through a strange birth (haven't wrapped my head around how that is possible) or is cursed to become one upon her death. She goes under a "vette" in the lore but what kind, is not mentioned at all.

For the art itself, I was heavily inspired by a picture of a bog body I remember well from a history text book back in the day when I was in school. The leathery look and how the man still looked like he was alive was quite facinating but as I got older and learned his story, it wasn't as peaceful as his body looked like. I gave her a relaxed look to mimik the one of the man
