Description
This is a more concept oriented color splash done with dark layerings, desaturations and of course color splashing. It is Ryan Reynolds (<3) as Green Lantern. I took a portrait style photograph, desaturated it and added three different overlays to create the darkness in space, then i went in and color splashed where i wanted color and intensified the ring energy and his eyes (<3) enjoy!Related content

This photomanipulation was a great idea of yours. In many ways this looks a great deal better than the original picture, and the studio should've been looking to hiring you to design promotional posters. how the universe looks through his partially transparent form, is very sleek, as is the manner the transparency eliminates some of the inconsistencies his mask has. I am a bit bummed that the detail of his suit and the tapered lines of bright light that serve as wrinkles got faded out a little too much, but its a small gripe when compared to how good this looks. Great work, and hopefully the studio will call you to design a poster for the sequel.
