Description
In my tradition of making my own designs for every gym leader (and eventually, every member of the Elite four) I present to you my redesigns for the Sinnoh Gym Leaders! I did not remove anyone from the roster, just a move and one new addition!
~The new first Gym Leader of the Sinnoh League is named Earle! After the Oreburgh mine ran dry, Roark moved to Canalave to work in the Iron Island mine with his father. Earle is legally blind and he accidentally stumbled into the abandoned mine. (In my pokemon world, there was an excavation through the Oreburgh mine to the Dragon's Den, in Johto to the south.) He loved the sounds and echoes of the cave so much that he decided to live there and practice using the newly discovered Sound-Type Pokemon! (Along with Light-type, these make up my two new elements) He is the first person to use them! In Sinnoh, three pokemon stages were discovered to be part of this new element: Chingling, Kricketot, and Chatot. Earle has one of each of these pokemon, along with his trusty seeing-eye-Riolu! Earle speaks very loudly and can be considered uncouth, but you'll be hard pressed to find anyone nicer. He gives out the first Sinnoh badge: the Echo badge!
~The second gym leader is the familiar Gardenia hailing from Eterna City. Along with her partner Roserade, Gardenia is definitely a challege to aspiring trainers. The pair spend most of their time in the Eterna woods. She gives out the Forrest Badge.
~The feisty Maylene is still the third gym leader from Veilstone City. Maylene is constantly training and fixating on different extreme sports; the Pokeathalon, eating competitions, martial arts...her current fixation is kickboxing, which she practices with her partner pokemon, Machoke. She hands out the Cobble Badge.
~Pastoria City still hosts the fourth gym, with Crasher Wake as its leader. Wake has a jovial, enthusiastic, and bombastic personality. He competes in Luchador style fighting for fun and uses the proceeds to help the less fortunate. His current character resembles a Mega Swampert! He still uses Water types, with his mainstay: Floatzel. He gives the Fen Badge to victors.
~Aside from being a master in Pokemon contests, Fantina resides as the fifth gym leader in Hearthome City with Driftblim and her other Ghost-types. She is also becoming recognized as an up and coming fashion designer, known for her beautiful dresses and Kalosian style costumes! She gives the Relic badge to winning trainers.
~Roark, after moving to Canalave City from Oreburgh, has joined forces with his father Byron to not only become Sinnoh's first double-battle gym, but to also manage the Iron Islands mine as well! (Aside from the promotions, Roark has also had the pleasure of starting a family as well, his young son Riley can frequently be seen running around the gym with their pokemon!) The two practice with Steel type pkmn, with their main duo of Rampardos and Bastiodon. They give out the Mine badge.
~The seventh gym is still located in the very remote and snow-plagued Snowpoint City. Candice, who is apparently not effected by cold, still resides as its leader specializing in Ice-types, with her partner Abomasnow. She gives out the Icicle Badge.
~The final Sinnoh gym leader before the Elite four is Volkner from Sunyshore City. He still practices with Electric-type pkmn, his main pkmn being Luxray. For a while, Volkner became bored with running a gym, specifically the lack of strong and challenging trainers. In his boredom, he rewired the Sunyshore Gym by hand and caused the whole city to blackout! (Ooops.) Then, a young trainer, who eventually became the Sinnoh Champion, finally defeated Volkner in a heated battle that reignited his passion for battling. Since then, he is always eager and excited for aspiring challengers! His confidence has affected more than just his professional life; his personal life has heated up as well, becoming engaged to Jasmine, the gym leader from Johto. The two are the most popular (and one of the most powerful) couples in the pokemon world! The final badge given to trainers in the Sinnoh region is the Beacon Badge.
