Masquerade Event picture of my OC Matt for the rp group

I was planning to make a pretty sketch for it (you can find it here and the original tiny note sketch here ), but today when I was going to color it, I got this crazy idea of HMMM WHAT IF I TRIED TO MAKE IT IN PAINTING STYLE So I did. Actually lately I'm trying to get more used to digital painting, traditional sketches are all fun etc. but idk I want to try different things, it's good to have variety of styles and techniques. I'm really happy with the result here, even though I'm absolutely exhausted now, it took me way more time than I planned o<-<

Either way, Matt's Masquerade outfit doesn't have much of personal feel to it, the devil mask doesn't have much deeper meaning really. I guess the reason for it is the fact that Matt is absolutely not used to parties of this sort, or of any sort at all to be honest. He probably googled lots of mask ideas, unsure if he should go with the mask covering whole face or only eyes or one eye only. Eventually he chose this one, deciding that with the mask's weird features his own face will be less recognizable (too bad he did not consider red hair being recognizable just fine). The rest of his outfit is just simply formal and grey with little twist of white elements (I guess he just used some clothes from his own wardrobe instead of buying new ones). And of course gloves, because he came there to work, not to have fun.

You can always count on me to draw my characters more edgy than they actually are
