The two juvenile Allosaurus siblings, Allison and Jackson commonly have playfights. Staff at the reserve have noted the disputes range from growls and barks between each other to quick, but harmless bites at the face. The staff have noted that Annemarie (the mother), every now and then will interject, putting her face between the two juveniles to break them up, give them a nuzzle on the face and then lead them to the back of the paddock. Overall, the Lions of the Jurassic have acclimated well to their new environment these past few months.

One of my favorite pics I've made for Past Meets Present. I decided to revise it with my more accurate baby Allosaurus. Along with giving them a more dynamic pose and I edited the pupil and iris position to make it look like Allison and Jackson are looking at each other.

I've always liked the idea of dinosaurs being caring parents, especially the basal (non-avian) theropods. Even though it may not be accurate. However:
1. It's my story and I decide how the scenes play out/the behaviors of the animals. Some of it is speculative, other times its based in science.
2. Precocial birds still get care from their parents, IE: Ducks, and most Ratites.
3. We'll never know for sure what non-avian theropod parental care was like.

PS: Apologies I was away for a few days, just got started with a new job, and I have to polish up the next part of Past Meets Present.
