Close-up of the Absinthe Fairy costume I made - yes I know, dem boobies are there as well. But come on! If ever a fairy was thought up to be enticing and playfully seductive, it's the Green Fairy. I mean, you get drunk and hallucinate about her!! Not surprising that I've been wanting to explore this theme for several years now lol. I guess if you look at my past costume roster, I'm all about the mischievous (and mysterious) confident female able to wrap people around her finger.... Black Cat, Yuuko, Carmilla, Ada, Catwoman... I think characters like such draw me to them because I had been shy and meek for many years of my life (can ya tell? XD), and their blazing self-esteem and "kicking ass and taking name" attitude inspires me to be more confident. I love the Absinthe Fairy as a (fairly modern) mythological creature, desired and chased by those Bohemian Revolutionaries.
And I totally dig this portrait, composed and shot by Paul Tien.
You can definitely see more details as well, such as the beading/feather/sequin work on the choker, the hand painted rose headpiece with more beading and doo-dats, the texturing on the bra (which took hours, raww) and even a bit of the wings in the back!

"If you got 'em, flaunt 'em." like one of the news anchors said here (the news was actually airing when they weren't supposed to air yet so you could hear the news anchor be all "Am I too revealing like this? ...BOOBIES! I can hear my mom scream 'I CAN SEE YOUR BREASTS.' already.")

If the fey they dreamed of after drinking absinthe were half as beautiful as your green fairy then I can truly understand why they would want to chase after their dreams. how long does it take you to construct your costumes? Because they seem very intricate and amazing in detail!

This one took about 3 days because I was on a deadline. But I spent most of those days working on it, so I'd say maybe 40+ hours?

Yaya, you need a youtube channel and you've got to upload some make up tutorials! You're makeup looks exquisite in each shot you upload and I've to see how you do some of this make up!
