This watercolor painting is first of my series.
It is based on a photo taken in Hong Kong 1915. This tiger probable one of the last tiger in Hong Kong. Shot by a English man. Actually there were a lot tiger in south China, and they are gone. Very sad...

It's so sad, I just can't understand this kind of people, you paint it so good...

Sad subject. Beautiful reinterpretation of an old phodograph though. I love the way onlookers ominously fade in the background. Look like ghosts.
I find it hard to believe that in our era of abundant information and learning, people still find pleasure in killing animals, not hesitating even when they know it's the very last representative of its species on earth.

It makes me so sad that people will hunt animals to extinctions over things we don't even need, such as their teeth or their fur.
