Super-chibi Aquaman is here to make your inbox explode with his mega animu kawaii desu.It's been a while since I drew something this blatantly chibi simply for the sake of making something chibi. And I think I failed. He doesn't look as cute as I'm used to my chibis turning out. 8(
Plus, I'm sure at least ONE among you is questioning why I drew Aquaman, of all the things. Honestly, he's probably Yezno 's favorite DC hero, apart from Superman. And Booster Gold, who I'm sure Yezzy likes more than he thinks he does. And really, Aquaman does deserve a little more love. Poor guy; it's not HIS fault that people hate him on a misconception based upon how he was poorly portrayed in the old Super Friends cartoon. He's much better than most people think.
Which reminds me that at some point, I seriously need to draw the Hulk Hogan with a mullet Aquaman from "Justice League"/"Justice League Unlimited." NGL, you guys, Aquaman was a motherflippin' bad-ass in those cartoons.

It's great to see some Aquaman love. I always so, the guy is awesome. It's a shame that so many people hate on the guy. I mean, his portrayal in JL:tas and JLU were badass. He was great in Injustice. And I'd say that Aquaman is the bright and shiny corner of the New 52 that ACTUALLY WORKS unlike the rest of the changes the reboot made. Seriously, New 52 Aquaman is one of the few things that made me stick with the reboot during those moments I considered giving up on contemporary comics. And he and Mera are one of my favorite comic couples.

I believe the reason a lot of people just hate on him mostly stems from how he was portrayed in "Super Friends." His super power was that he could swim and talk to fish, and he rode a jet ski. It's a shame that that's caused less people to take him seriously over the years. He was a bad-ass in the cartoons WE grew up with, and I've heard from multiple people now, including you, that he's one of the best parts in Injustice. And on New 52 Aquaman, you and I agree!

Yeah, I'd say that the Super Friends cartoon started the jokes. And from there, the stereotype was perpetuated by things like Family Guy and The Big Bang Theory ('cuz let's face it, nobody nowadays has seen Super Friends

It seems pretty legitimate to me. Plus, it was sort of teased at the end of Justice League: War. Here's hoping they do a better job with Throne of Atlantis than with JL:W and Son of Batman.

If you ever get your hands on the first arc, let me know. It's is absolutely worth it to just read the first four issues of the New 52 Aquaman. Great setup to the character and one of my favorite openings to a new series.

He really does, poor guy! I've actually not gotten a chance to play Injustice, but I've heard it's AWESOME! And he definitely rocks hardcore in Justice League/Justice League Unlimited.

I DID read "Throne of Atlantis" the graphic novel, though, and it was flippin' sweet! Seriously some of the best material I've ever seen for his character, hands down, bar none!

Hell yeah, he did! I already loved Geoff Johns for his work with the Lantern universe, and I can seriously appreciate his work with Aquaman in the N52.
