Worked my ass of on this...... There was so much junk I had to fix..... anyways.... Wow.... a backround I finally consider to be GOOD for once.
Well..... there WERE a few other good ones, but normally, I suck at backgrounds IMO. Now to Birda..... I'm startin' to like drawing her more and more each and every time I do. Anyways.... she's just standin' around in her surfing gear, with some slick lookin' Green Thunder(name sounds familiar coughluigimrlcough) patterned surf board. :b None much more to say. Yes I love making Beach shot backgrounds.
Expect to see it a lot more during the summer. Anyways, hope y'all like. :]

there's no way you made that background! you did?! omg it is awesomness! it looks so realistic! and Birda fits in very well too, sometimes backgrounds don't fit too well with the subject matter, but in this case everything works well together. Birda is shaded quite well too! absolutely love, and fave!

Well I hope to see more awesome backgrounds from you! If you haven't noticed, I pay close attention to shading and backgrounds for some reason. I wish I could make awesome backgrounds like this one, since mine always seem to appear flat

Heh...well, in my opinion, your hard work and effort most definitely paid off dude. It shows tremendously through every pixel. With spring finally here and summer on the not-so-distant horizon, there's no better way to kick it all off than with Birda and a little bit of surfing. Her customized board combined with a sleek outfit go hand in hand to really show off that free spirit. The alluring beach and oceanic background is stellar especially for GIMP's expectations--could've sworn I almost looking at a seasonal photograph.
What more can I say? Well done Y-Man, you deserve a
