Hearing voices and finding screen doors with fog coming from behind them in your soul room is never a good thing, Roo.I'd explain the rationale behind the soul room's design, but I'm short on time, so I'm saving it for the commentary later.

Interesting mind he has... it looks really fancy, like to the point where I thought, "I wish mine looked that way! v_v " ...and then I started thinking about it, and realized I don't know what mine would look like. O_o (...probably just a plain room with a laptop and a notebook and pencil, or something. And maybe a messy pile of papers in the corner.)

I think mine would start as an art studio with a lot of books piled haphazardly around, with lots of little ceramic cats and dragons. XD

I've wondered about what my "inner world" would be, before, too, like they have in Bleach. I think that my world would be more interesting than my room, because a world can't just be a sparsely decorated room. ^_^" (Or maybe it could... but mine wouldn't be)

Well, your soul room itself should start by reflecting something you're really interested in or that has taken up a large part of your life, and I don't think it would be a sparsely decorated room. Mine would be an art studio just because art is so huge in my life; I can't really tell you what else would be in there.
I like to think you'd have at least one tree in there. Probably one of those trees that grows in interesting and complicated ways, like a baobab. (Or a nice big oak. X3)
Yeah, I'm gonna have to post that essay I did last night. You'll find it pretty interesting.

Yes, mainly because it's two soul rooms held closely together by a Millenium Item. In the manga, we actually see deep within a couple soul rooms; TÊa's was a modified dance studio, for example. Yugi and Atem's split pathway was the only path we ever see.
Here it's one soul room divided haphazardly into two.

Is that type of thing popular in Japan? Bleach has something like that, too, but they're not rooms.

Ah, lessee, I think besides Atem's crazy soul room, we only got that of TÊa and that of this archaeologist guy who was a one-story character. They were drastically different from one another, though, so they give a lot of ideas on different things to do.
I plan on doing a little essay on building soul rooms in the near future.
