Maybe part of the reason why it looks so neat is that I used normal yarn for the hair and only one strand of that yarn (it's 4ply yarn) to crochet the fringe. Plus I glued it on instead of sewing (craft glue).

Wow! I'm incredibly impressed that you were able to make a doll this tiny. That seems like such delicate work! And she even has a yarn wig! That's pretty incredible.

I love her!!Β Β That's a great idea to twist the yarn around her for her bikini. I think I like the fins more than the legs too.(Although the legs were adorable)

I agree! The proportion of the fins are really good.Β Β
Oh, did you not write down a pattern?Β

She is so small! Very cute! (Personally, I do not like crocheting very small things, I get frustrated too easily.)

I think it has to do with the yarn. That emoticon made me laugh!

How does my stitch count compare to your stitch count?
It's probably very different, because I can change the size just by using a smaller hook and more tension. I did it once and couldn't believe how much smaller the head was!

Lol! I have a lot of hooks, but for some reason I like 2.75 and 3.25 mm.
Do you like the back loop crochet? I've never done it for an entire doll. It does give it a special look though.

I ordered several hooks, but they seem to be stuck somewhere in the shipping process *sigh*
I crocheted a bag for my heat bottle in BLO, it looks nice though but for dolls I'm not so sure. I also had to do it for a striped shirt for a doll and it made the rows longer so the body looked a tiny bit off shape.

Hope you get your hooks soon! Yes there is definitely a time and place for BLO
