Description This is another traditional media collage, much like my trading cards but bigger (11 x 14"). The main purpose of this assignment was to practice an image transfer technique.

Technique-I printed out the picture of the woman (did some contrast tweaking in photoshop) and brushed about 10 thick coats of Liquitex high gloss varnish on top of the image. After letting the image completely dry, you wet the back of the picture with water and then start rubbing away at the paper. Once all the white bits of paper are gone you are left with a very transparent image, only the black parts show up. I believe it only works with laser printers.

The rest is made up of; decorative tissue, black/white pens, Liquitex acrylic, thick decorative paper, wallpaper glue, gauze, and sheet music.
I actually have an updated version of this, I'll have to take a new picture of it and replace it.

i adore this, and really enjoyed reading the technique as well, interesting process. the colours and sheet music give it some sort of air of romanticism.
