Ink/digital commission of the client’s characters, Cade and Llyris, flirtin’ in the library (which, as everyone knows, is always a top-notch place for flirtin’). This wraps up the triptych of art nouveau-styled drawings of these characters; you can check out the other ones here and here !The flower this time is a red variant carnation, which means passion or romantic attraction. Oooh, nothing quite like a good library flirtation. ^^ The things you do with negative space make my head spin, honestly. Especially whilst blending those flowers in. They're beautiful.

Thanks! The composition of the flower stems was partially inspired by "Rose" from Mucha's Four Flowers series. It seemed like an interesting way to have the stems both interact with but then fade out from the composition.
