Kylo Ren has now become one of my favorite bad guys despite him killing one of my all time favorite characters. However, this piece looks amazing. The movements are fluid, the lightsaber looks phenomenal and even though it's pix-elated, I can make out every single detail on Ren. I like the fighting move you cave him with the turn around slash. Almost makes me feel like I'm watching The Force Awakens for the fifth time.
Unlike the minor complaint with Rey and BB-8, I have no problems with this. This is just wonderful. I have already added it to my favorites and there it will stay.

This is the kind of material that pixel artists dream about seeing when we look up sprite animations. The lightsaber's lighting effect is perfect, the stance is pretty intense, and I love the little cinders the lightsaber leaves behind, and the attack is emotional and agressive, true to the character. I'd love to see this in a game, but honestly, just watching the animation loop over and over makes me happy. Please make more of these, I'm really interested in seeing what else you can do, maybe even with Finn and his amateur style.
This animation makes me touch myself.

I think this is one of the best star wars animations yet. The vision is clear and you can obviously tell whats happening. The originality isn't there because you see so many pictures and media of Kylo Ren fighting.I think the technique is fantastic as you use to white in the red to give that glowy look and its amazing. I love the fact you added light and dark to it and it works amazingly with the animation. Over all I think you should consider this as a masterpiece as it is accomplished with style. Keep it u and don't give up.

A clear preference to Form V: Djem So, with training in Form I: Shii-cho and Form II: Makashi, likely in an effort to imitate Darth Vader's technique but much more flexible in terms of dexterity.

I was going to assign him juyo just out of how ferocious and wild his attacks are instead of the more classical forms. But I might just stick him with Djem So as a copy of Vader too

I've noted that when he needs more dexterous bladework, he uses a one-handed grip suggesting that he studied Form II: Makashi and his opening stance in his "duel" against Luke on Crait seems to be a more aggressive variant as opposed to its more relaxed stance. And uses this when he wants to keep his opponents at a distance, something that Makashi is known for, whereas Djem So is all about closing the distance with dominating aggression.
As for why I say he studied Form I: Shii-Cho, when he deflects blaster bolts, he uses wide sweeping slashes to swat them aside, whereas a practitioner of Form III: Soresu or Form V: Shien would not be so wasteful in stamina expenditure. But I think he never expanded beyond blaster deflection with this Form since he's never seen using its sequences, though it could be argued that it can be mistaken for Djem So if he used wide hacking cleaves, like the Falling Avalanche technique.
Additionally, I think thatΒ some dedicated Djem So practitioners forget that it's equally used for stonewall defense and counter-attack; with this in mind, they just bombard with heavy cleaves. I Kylo Ren's case, he's emotionally unstable, so his technique might be equally erratic which might have given you the impression that he studied Form VII: Juyo.

This is absolutely amazing and I would kill for a full on sprite sheet as I feel this would make an AMAZING MUGEN character, IMO.

Very nice...you caught on to the fact that Ren likes to spin into his strikes, whether that means coming off the ground, or not.Β That's definitely one of his trademark moves.Β And the light of the saber, and the sparks...very awesome!
