Description Ok I've never drawn a dragon before but it seems a lot of people know how to, so I decided to give it a shot. I drew it out in a sketchbook first then coloured it in using Photoshop. Took me 2 hours to paint it. The drawing was done bit by bit over a week. I did paint on some of my textures onto it. And yes I know the colours are strong but I like strong colours

Thank you! Yes it was my first dragon, I did spend a lot of time studying dragon features and other peoples artwork to make sure I come up with something decent. Then I just took my time on the shading and texturing making sure I highlight and shadow all the scales. Btw alot of the texture is actually from the pencil lines and scribbles from the original drawing, made an easy texture haha.

The colors aren't too strong, they're perfect! It makes the dragon seem like it's in a dark place, lighted by a singe fire. For your first dragon it's GREAT! I love the details and texture.
