Excellent Zara, I think I remember seeing a program about him when he died. Did he live in like the central reservation between two roads. I think it was on Heir hunters. It was really interesting. I think he left about thirty thousand. I believe he was getting some kind of war benefit, which was being paid into an old bank account. I donβt think he knew he had. Something like that anyway. It was quite sad really.

Yes, that's him, I think his real name was Joseph Stawinaga or something like that, he lived between two busy roads yes, but the Wolverhampton folk loved him. The clubbers and pub goers used to take him food over and beer. The Hindu community would give him food and he also had food delivered by social services, and the Army tore down his old tent and gave him a new one, whilst he was cussing them in polish. I know why he cussed them, he had nearly ten grand wrapped up in carrier bags in his tent, so the legend goes. LOL, when you saw him in real life he was fascinating, all his hair was matted into dreadlocks, he had to be painted. Xx

You wouldn't think that the council would let someone live like that, but it's was kind of nice that they did, After all he wasn't hurting anyone. It's nice to know that people still think of him. xx

Yes for years they wanted to develop the road he was on, but because he was his own legend who everyone loved they promised to wait until he died. I thought that was a wonderful thing. Xx

It just shows that the human race can be compassionate sometimes, Itβs a shame we donβt see it more often. xx
