I've had the idea in my mind for quite a while to do a piece about dreams and night-time inspiration. You know the kind where you have to flip on the lights and draw it out, turn them off again and get another idea.
This is also more concept art for MemoirduLune , a roleplaying group that me and wispywaffle are building, of a library wing.
I had fun practicing with the lighting and architecture, it was my first time trying to paint architecture and my first time trying to design my own. I tried to give it an organic and nonsensical feeling.

organic and nonsencial wahh yess! it's so adorable and... quaint, is that the right word? it looks very fantasy and gives off such a calming feeling *q*... i love how you work with colours all the time, they always seem to work together so well without having to saccrifice a bigger palette ;w;
wahh so many little details i've just been staring - i love how you highlighted certain books in the cases, like in the back and such - i love thow they're colour sorted/coded AHAHA! such lovely large volumes *O* <3 the lighting is really lovely in this, it seems so complex but everything just glowwwwwsss and reflects and i really like how the windows even give off light onto the walls and gives it texture *OOOOO* eekk oh eekk *O* <33
i love the little characters, their proportions compared to the bookcases/room/...everything hahaa makes everything look so much more fantasyish ;uu;;; i really love how everything has its own little design, like even the window glass and the books with lines *O* and even the lady walking AHAHA oh gosh how cute, but.. she's... spying LOOLLL ;uu;; THE FISHHHHHHH ;AAAAA;; <333333 i i don't know if it's just me being silly but the fish make me think of goldfish in a giant goldfish bowl, sort of like those very characteristic round bowls they are kept in in cartoons? and then this library wing is very round ;v;; such a fun picture eeeeeee ;;;v;;; <33333

I love painting scenes now more than anything, there's just so much more for me to work with! Really figuring out how to make the lighting work is still a work in progress for me though. ;u; And I'm still getting used to merging layers and working with one layer at the end, as you can see by that one derpy looing dreamfish. ;u;
