Description
I made WV to commemorate the end of Homestuck. That comic meant a lot to me: I read it with my friends, I cosplayed from it, I made plushies of characters. It fell out of my favor for awhile but I had a great time catching up once it finished. I've heard a lot of negative things about the ending, however I genuinely liked it. It was a nice way to close a comic about some kids playing a game. Not everything I wanted to happen happened, and I wish certain characters had different degrees of importance to the finale. Overall it felt very appropriate and gave me a great sense of closure.

WV is my favorite character, and he featured prominently in the finale, so I thought he would be the perfect tribute. I've cosplayed him, but unlike my second and third favorite characters (Feferi and Doc Scratch, respectively), I never made a plush of him. He stands 12 inches tall and is made from black minky. His rags, which were more challenging than you would think rags should be, are made from suede. I tried to base his design off of the original art, as well as some of the interpretations by contributing artists. The mayoral sash includes real wire and is probably one of my favorite parts about this little guy. The eyes and sash are machine embroidered while his Derse citizen tattoo is hand embroidered. Overall, he came out super cute, but I would expect no less from the mayor of can town.
