The Bitch of the WestSilent Bear, Nicholas Copper, Dorothy Gale, and Preacher Crow
We follow Dorothy Gale along the Yellow Railroad as she hunts down the people behind her family's ranch being attacked. She travels to the town of Oz only to find that the culprit runs the town.
I started this idea back in college for an assignment on character creating and kinda fell in love with the whole concept. Oz in the west. The whole story seen as a gritty western. I kinda let it gather dust for a while but just recently worked on it for satellitesoda's Daily Draw February. With that done, I finally have enough to actually start planning what I want to do with BotW. I definitely want to make a real attempt to make this an actual trade full of story, so for now that's where I'm going with it. Hopefully I can get more going and post up on process more!

Awe, thanks! I've doing some thinking about BofW and really think it might be my next project I try and pitch, or just do it as a weekly pulp comic kinda deal on here and tumblr.... BUT we shall see.

But the way I came across your work was the keyword "bitch" because the word is in the title of my work. Β The name you have given your story is funny/clever/etc btw.
Anyway, I have recently started working as a substitute teacher where I live and I do not have much time to do the final edit.Β
This is what I have to propose to you and you have nothing to lose except for the time you take to read what I send you. Because if it's not your cup of tea that's fine.

If anything you might get a kick out of reading it but this thing has got potential just as yours does.

Oh man, I remember that assignment! I'm so glad you decided to bring these guys back!!! I love your character designs. The face shapes are excellent. Preacher Crow's hot, not gon lie LOL!!! I also love your linemileage on the face in general. It really defines your style. I also love Dorothy's look here. She looks like a farm-weathered girl. I definitely support this as a full comic!

I can't believe you remembered it! Preacher Crow has some sex appeal that I had no idea about, lol! He's becoming more interesting as I continue.
This was the first digital thing I've done in a while and I really like how those lines work, glad to know when it works!
I definitely want Dorothy to be the heart and soul of the group, the one that sees each person for who they are and not who they think they are. I want her to be a real farm-weathered girl.
I'll definitely keep you updated how this goes.
