sketch commission for ~Haunti
its her char, Kobakar. hes a very mystical character to draw and i had a lot of fun with this! its another wintery scene, since they are just fun to sketch! im also getting better and doing light vs dark with these sketches i dont understand people who hate shading D: thats one of the most fun parts since it makes the image really take shape and come to life! can you believe that ive seen people charge extra for shading on commissions? thats crazy. i dont understand that.anyways, im quite pleased with how this one came out x) hope Haunti does, too!

lol well, the people who cant shade shouldnt be ones offering commissions, i guess XP i dunno... i just believe in going as high quality as possible if im getting paid to draw something!

He's a really cool looking character. I love the way you shaded the eye, it really does look like there's a cavity there, instead of just a black shape. (that's one of my biggest problems with Firefly's eyes 
You are getting really good with shading, it looks incredible. I can't imagine doing a drawing or painting without any kind of shading. Most of the drawings we did in my drawing class at first were just lines or shapes without shading and it was so HARD for me.

thanks! ^^ yeah, the cavity was fun to do x) i think it came out looking good because the top has a soft edge and the bottom has a hard edge. that really makes it make sense with the lighting, imo
same here! i always have the urge to shade everything i do xD it just looks so unnatural without it. im glad im showing improvement in such a short amount of time! doing B&W pics really helped with figuring out shading and lighting a lot better x) now to get back to painting... x3

XD I'm a pencil person. If you can't erase it or it isn't portable I won't use it. I've neverr tried charcoal, well acutally once in art class. It was a messily fun experience.

Shading in commisions for extra? Perposterous!
Although maybe its just eqasier for the artist to do base colors, so instead of charging more for shading maybe he/she is just charging less for base coloring? If you get what I mean x)
And very nice pose, and the lack of color actually brings about a good mood to it

doing base colors is a lot easier! but its booooooooring to do Dx and boring to look at, too... meh, i have a shading bias, i guess XP

Another splendid sketch from the "amazing Zelos"! ;3 But, no, really! It's an awesome pose, fantastic job with the fur details again (I really like your sketched fur - it stands out well), and the background. The halo is a very nice touch and one of the first things I noticed when I saw the picture.
The character design is great, so praise goes out to Haunti there, but I looked up the character and you've both done a great job with the artistic portrayal of the character.
