Description
While I am still mostly busy with work and with two smaller commissions (both pro-bono), I have had this urge to dig up from the stacks of incomplete stuff and at least try to scrub a few into tenable shape.This is ~ambiv from her stock account ~wyrdsis-stock
IIRC, the pencils were laid out in 2007, the initial colored pencils, acrylic ink, pro-white and acrylic ink in 2008, and the brushpen, acrylics and final digital torquing were 2009.

ha a really intensely spread out piece. i like it a lot, my favourite part is the hair. i wish i had hair like that... well i don't. but who wouldn't want hair like that.

What I love about this is the way you seem to achieve maximum expression with minimum detail. Although there is more detail than there intially appears, that's what's so great about it. I also really like the restricted palette and tonal balance.

You use that scrubbed-on blue so wonderfully. I love those slightly-weathered edges, and how it tapers outside the black line. Wow!
