Description
So this one has been worked through in very small iterative steps, and I am not sure where it will go (as per usual) and I wanted to capture it in the first acceptable stage of presentation (as per usual). This was from a reference shot procured by actually asking the subject beforehand (not per usual) and worke on almost immeduately after receiving it (also not per usual, as I tend to hold on to reference images for weeks and months and sometimes years before I get situated).But I wanted to work on a Devianomicon portrait since I had not done one in a while. =northengirl was very accomodating to being subjected to my rather loud treatment, which may yet get louder.

Most of my skintones are partially a by-product of photoshop or gimp tweaks, but the root of it is in two things: Holbein Ash Blue giuache paint and Rotring white or acrylic ink (sometimes usbstituted with a neutral gray).

2. I went 10 years without doing a public show, then did one for a month about a year ago. I keep meaning to do more, but have been too busy to market myself to local galleries and cafes. I work full time and go to University full time, and do DA, so I am stretched pretty thin.

Wow! Nice! Like the LAYERS in the field surrounding the MAIN subject. good use of hue, smart placement of the blue on the main subject WHICH PLAYS EXPERTLY AGAINST the warm ochre UNDER COLOR, and is still accented by the green in the backfield. Nice
