Description Black ink, red ink, and white ink on bristol.

Inspired by `Artgerm and the work of Japanese artist Yoji Shinkawa and of course by Japan's great history.

I'm going to mount and frame it and put it up for auction through an organization raising funds for Japan. All proceeds from the auction will go to Japan relief efforts.

I can't even afford to donate 10 bucks to the Red Cross so I figured this would make up for it and more. Since the starting price for this piece will be well above $10.

My heart goes out to Japan. I encourage other artists who can't afford to donate to help Japan to auction art on Ebay or through Red Cross or anything. Houses floated away. They could use our help. In any way possible

he doesn't need depth perception. he can feel the depth in the wind. in the earth. he'll know you were coming 5 days before you got there.

thank you! and that was definitely an inspiration for this actually. Yoji Shinkawa who was the main artist for MGS has been a big inspiration for me lately with all his ink work.

eek! yah I love the way its done I used to read the manuals over and over because I loved the style of the drawings and little scenes put in it. I always wondered how the artist made it but never looked that far into it : )

ya i do the same! haha. i pull the manuals out of the cases and just look through the art. i wanna get an art book of his. He does all the character art with brush and ink. I've been using brush so much lately cuz of him. And whats more impressive to me is that he was the only designer in MGS1. He designed every character, every prop, every environment, the floor plans for every room and building. everything. usually they hire a team but all they had was him to draw all that stuff. pretty awesome. theres actually one video of him drawing online. just one. ive looked everywhere. hes painting Snake on a huge canvas. too cool
