Description
When things hurt so much that you can't even cry tears anymore. When you feel numb and empty inside just hoping to fall a sleep to ease the pain.That feeling I wanted to convey in this drawing. Wanted her to have this blank look in her eyes.
Made with a regular 4B pencil.
30x40 cm.

Your work has had so much more feeling in it lately! So now, not only are your portraits technically beautiful, but they also have this intense emotion surrounding them.
I love how much focus is on her eyes, and only her eyes. You did a great job making them blank. It's lovely.

You captured such a empty deated look. The mascara looks like it was wet from quite a few tears because of how you have it trailing down her face. What I think is expertly rendered is the way you made it look dry again.
I see this and it reminds me of hellish moments in my life. When you can cry no more and when you can barely move a finger or even want to.
World is still moving around but it is like she stepped off it and froze into nothing from being so numbed by whatever painfully engulfed her.
I see yet another drawing that displays such feelings that are so believable.

Very nice. She looks really hurt but tired. (I think that what you were getting at) Maybe making the eyebrows a little more relaxed would make her look a bit more blank, though.
But nice! I love your pictures. I aspire to be as good as you.

This is beautiful. The feeling I get from this pic is that her make up during the day is a mask covering up her pain. Then at night, all of he r feelings are revealed

When I first saw this on your site the first thing that came to mind was how blank she looked, no emotion at all...and saw thats what you was going for! You definetly captured the wanted "blank look". How you draw amazes me everyday. The emotion that you're able to convey with such a simple tool like a pencil, absolutely wonders me. Once again, I find her there, facing her life with unwanted tears. She's sad that she's crying...She's tired of crying. It's all written on her face, like an open book. I can feel her pain, heavy sadness that no one should have to put up with. I hope the sun shines for her and dries those tears.
Once again, I have babbled...Sorry, wonderful peice, once again. (ha, as if I didn't say it enough!!) I will one day learn your techniques! ...at least....I hope...
