Well this picture is certainly a contrast from the impression that I got from the thumbnail. It looked like a very moody, glum, studio-esque shot... a silhouette of a man in fog. It's actually someone playing football! Haha! This is a really cool shot, and I'm surprised at the low level of grain from having it at 1600 ISO.

well, honestly, while this isn't a bad photograph, i don't see what would you do with it. first of all, you seem to have a thing for having a really bright source of light in the photo and the rest of it being invisible (this photograph, [link] , [link] , [link] ). this could be a purposefully creative technique, and who am i to say that it isn't. however, from my perspective, this demonstrates a lack of patience and lack of trying to find better light.
the pose is nice, however until someone else mentioned football i couldn't figure out what the blob was. perhaps waiting for a more classical pose would be nice.
while this photograph is about the expression, it is hardly visible, thus essentially not achieving the purpose of the photo.
the photograph has an atmosphere to it thanks tot he soft light and strange blobs of light and shadow

I like it when the viewer is confused as to what is going on and then they have to figure out on their own, or with assistance of other comments, as to what is going on
again I wish that light was not there since it does throw off the shot ... but I have to admit the lighting was horrible as only one part of the stadium was lit
let me ask you this, was there a shot in my gallery that you actually liked ? that you did not hate any aspect of it ...

Damn, this looks like it belongs in one of those bad underdog team football movies, perhaps starring Billy Bob.
Of course, that would make Nathan a redneck mentally retarded young orphan, and this the last football game of the playoffs against a team of giant hairy black orcs.
If he doesn't make the pass by somehow overcoming the pressures of racial tension, the entire team of hick ne'er do wells will instantly be devoured by the monstrous opposition.

I always find it funny to see American football... When people play it they seem so serious and stuff... Like they're going into battle.
This has a far bit of raw emotion in it despite the fact that the model looks like an actor out of the OC *shudders at thought*
Still can't work out why this is such a powerful shot but I'll get back to you on that.

But I think I know what it is!
It's like when someone is determined to do something, say... make the football team..., and they practice day and night until eventually they make it (or don't...) but it's like something you can admire them for because they actually put in the effort to do something they really wanted to do...
That's my take on it anyhow...
