Personally I liked that guy from season one. On this portrait the rendering is good, however I am seeing some facial misalignments and from what I have seen of David his head has a wedged shape to it. Not to bad over all though.

Thanks for the critique. I'm sure you know by now that I don't strive for reality in my stuff. Often it is just a quick bit of fun as in this case.
I post on another site that is mainly silly photoshop pictures for the amusement of others ( but most of us enjoy the social aspect of the site ) and this was a request from a female friend who also posts there. It was a rush to get it from request to posted on the website before she went home from work so it took me no more than 30 minutes if I recall.
There is no seriousness in anything I do and I have no goals with it. The main thing is to pass some time doing something that wields a result I can say " that looks OK, maybe I could show someone else "
My background in drawing is technical and so all I find I am able to do is copy and try and make a faithful representation of a subject but if it's going to be art I also feel that is the wrong way to go about it so I don't think too much, I rush as much as I can ( to stop me thinking about it ) and I end up with things that many might not consider finished but for me? If I put down the pen, it's finished.

I like him as an actor. I've seen him in a few stage plays and his Casanova was excellent. As the Dr I am ambivalent, as I don't watch Dr Who. I think it is a bit silly ( but not as silly as Torchwood ).

I think I might do a Dr Who theme soon ( when I have some time, I've had a distressing and hectic weekend, personally ) and sketch all the Doctors so that you whipper-snappers get some Hartnell and Pertwee pummelled into you
