Description For Redliners: This is a random human female xD
This is something I made today at school ._.
Okay well...I really...REALLY like the way disney draw humans (most of the time) like the "Disney Princesses" xD
Sounds funny I know
I just love something like this:
(this artist is doing very well in this style )

But I feel I'm just not ready for it =/
So I doodled today and this came out...

I....think it's quite okay but...you know...miles away of what I want it to be
I think the mouth/lips are too small and the form of the head is not soft enough.

But maybe it's better to keep my own style and try to mix my and disneys style together?
I don't know xP

so Please tell me what you think about it
critique is very welcome !!

That is definitely not a bad head shot for a random human lady drawing. It is a nice style you have too. Her hair appears to be thin and wispy, however. Given her current expression, I would say that she realizes her hair has begun to fall out, especially when the eye is clearly see through the hair. Her ear is also a little out of alignment. It does not appear to fit in with the perspective of her head. It is nicely drawn however. The neckline is done well, though it seems a little long, and it appears that her torso lines are blending in perfectly with her hair.

Overall, this is a beautiful semirealistic piece, but as a girl who has delved a bit into the human anatomy, the nose looks a bit pointy and the face a small bit to the left. I love the detail you put into the iris, but you could've kept a little bit of the transparency in the highlight. I believe the hair is the most beautiful part of the overall picture, and you're a master at the hair-behind-the-ears, but it looks too thin, and I believe that you should've put in thicker strands near the top of the head.

That was my two cents, I hope you will benefit from it.

I really like this drawing. The overall composition is very good, and the details add a nice depth to it. It's hard to pull off this style of drawing without making it look flat and two-dimensional.
I don't know too much about anatomy, so this is my uneducated view, but the nose seems a little skewed. The facial features seem to be slightly to the left of the face. Something about the ear also looks strange, although most ears do, so that might not be a problem.
Also, I want to congratulate you on one small detail: the hair tucked behind the ear. It's so hard to draw a strand of hair stopping and continuing but retaining its fluidity. The hair is extremely well done here, including the eyebrows. The shape of the face and the jawline are very well done. Pardon me if I fail to properly praise this art, because it's easier to see mistakes than things that were done well.
Overall this is a really good piece. I hope to see (and maybe critique) more of your work.

Very nice, not so creative though. It does need a little more hair, but still it's awesomesauce.
Okay,

Vision: Nicely done, may need a little more hair though, it looks like one of my classmates lol, 4 stars.
Originality: 3 stars. Headshots are awfully common these days, especially ones where they try to make us feel like wind is coming from one direction.
Technique: I've seen realistic fur on paper, amazing, may need to work a witttle harder if you wanna make some realistic art >////< 4 stars, k?

Impact: Not much effect, honestly, so I'll give it a 4 star.

High rating is high o3o

You asked for it! xD
remember this is my opinion c:

first all the awesome stuff:
she is beautyfull and adorable! i love her eyes! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l… " width="19" height="19" alt="" title="La la la la"/>
and if im not mistaken she does look a little disney e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
(thats a good thing in my opinion)
awesome shading and it looks great in black and white!

now for the critique:
i think the hair could use just a little bit of highlights.
maybe there should me some more shadows on her ears.
her cheeks seem a little dark.. but maybe you intended it to be this way? it could look a lil bit like dirt... or blushing.
her eyes are a little animal like imo.

... but it looks great e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
this was hard to critique since i really like this picture!
i hope my critique helped a little bit -w-'

Thank you very much for the great critique x3!!
The highlights in the hair are hard for me because I mostly draw digital and when I do something traditional I always forgot that earasing isn't that easy whitout a computer xP
You're right, the ears definately need more shadows!
hehe and yes that should look like some sort of blushing xP
Hmm that her eyes look a little animal like is true...maybe because I mainly draw animals and manga stuff

Your critique will surely help me improve x3!
Thanks again

Super cute, I really like this character.

Just some suggestions on technical stuff... It's hard to tell at this resolution what media you used, but I would avoid smudging - use lines and cross-hatching to define the values and forms for line art. If it's ink, try a wash or watercolors.

Just my opinion, but the bridge of the nose - you don't necessarily need it to be so prominent for female characters (I think for males it's more appropriate). Just very minimal nostrils or a shadow implying the tip of the nose works well. I know this is just one sketch, though and might be part of this character's identity.

The hair - hair should be a mass, a solid volume. Use lines to define the form, but you don't need to draw every hair.

I'd love to see more attention to values - really use the full range. Make the shadows really dark, the highlights really light. Decide where the light source is

Hope that helps. I really like your sketch.

Don't smudge!

In terms of the eyes, you don't have to do this it's just a suggestion, you can fade the Iris and pupil out and darken it at the other end. If you look at your Belle template for example: notice that the left Iris and pupil look partially erased but as you get close to the top of her eye lid they become much darker and more distinct. Honestly though, I think the picture is very well done nice work. d(^.^)b

If you want to emulate Disney, then you said it yourself, you'd need to give her a more oval shaped face with a more rounded chin and less prominent cheeks. If you want to emulate Disney that is.

I don't see what's wrong with having your own style, and I think this picture is just fine in it's own right!

Yes that's what I think, I really love disneys style but there are many people copying it and why should I be one of them? But even if I keep my "own style" whit less rounded chin I have to learn much

Thanks again x3
