hey how have you been? I havent been on this website in a long time. Just checking in to see how things are going. Plus I just found out two of my favorite comedians, Jackie Kashian and Maria Bamford, are gonna be at the Tampa Improv this weekend. I dont know if you live any where near Tampa but if you do I would recomend you and your boyfriend go if you can. They are both hilarious.

Pretty much the same. Work and home. Gets kinda redundant and boring. Lol I realized about a week ago how much I missed my old bakery. Even with all the problems and drama there was always something interesting going on and it made the job fun. My new bakery has less people and my area is more secluded, with can be nice, but tends to not be exciting or interesting and makes the job more work than an enjoyable hobby I get paid for. Im still keeping my fingers cross about running a bakery or going to culinary school, that oppertunity has yet to arise, but I think it will come around some day soon. Hows it going with your bakery? Anymore interesting sandwhich stories or get sabotaged by another stray dog? lol.
Peace out.

Actually its pretty much the same for me too. No. No sandwhich or stray dog stories unfortunatly. Oh well. This week my boss has gone crazier than usual which pretty much makes working for her hellish, and I hurt my back so Im pretty sore right now. I dont even know how i did it. I woke up this morning and it was a messed up. it feels a little better now, but that could just be wishfull thinking. I'll see how I feel tomorow. I also have to deal with some friend drama. 3 of my friends are having some issues with eachother (it invovles 2 guys and 1 girl so u can pretty much guess what the issues are), and I get all the gossip. The sucky thing is I actually could write about it in my journal but all three of them are on deviant SOOO that may not go over so well. Plus I think that would make me a bad friend... well anyway I will have to try harder to have more random stuff happen so that I can write about it in my journal.

Lol Ya, I've been a bad deviant. Once we moved I got caught up in the "fix it" mod and forgot why I wanted to be a cake decorator. Its not the people or the work. Theres not job security and the pays decent, but the reason I put up with all the drama and trouble was because I loved making really awesome looking cakes and seeing the reaction people had to them. I think I got so involved with trying to fix all the problems with this new bakery and trying to get the Dept manager position, that I actually started not wanting to get outta bed to go to work. Even with the drama and the troubles of my last bakery, I never wanted to just stay home. I had a major reality check.
So now my plan is to go back to what I always loved about cake decorating and forget the strive to fix everything. Lol I went on a vacation for a week and everything I had fixed in 3 months was right back to where it was before I came. So that was another reality check. I cant run that bakery. I cant fix it alone. So I figure until everyone has, I guess, an understanding of cooperation and respect, Im just gonna chill. Im still going to work hard, just not stress over it. If im gone for 2 days and our case goes to pot, oh well...start cleaning and filling...were missing half our stock cuz they dont believe in ordering enough back up...nothing I can do.
Wow. Sorry bout the rant. Lol I think that was pent up for a while. On another note, I was able to meet alot of family members from my moms side. It was surprisingly awesome.

HAHAHA! no worries about the rant. For some reason all my friends do the same thing. Of course I rant to them as well so its a mutial thing. Well thats good that u can go back to enjoying the things u loved and not dwell on the things that made u miserable. I have a couple of friends who work at a Whole Foods and they do pretty much what you do, and it sounds like they are having all the same type of problems that you were having. Unfortunatly for them they havent got past the dwelling and stressing stage.

Lol its alot better. Theres a old lady there, who occasionally gets me frustrated, but its alot easier. The biggest problem is the lack of cleanliness and organization, which i've been basing off my old job and fixing. Its just difficult when people get angry your fixing things, they actually went to my STORE manager and told them "I was taking over the bakery." Funny enough, he and my assistant manager liked what I had been doing so, they saw no problems. I can understand the older lady being upset though. I overheard that they cut her hours pretty badly, and I can basically relate that to me starting there. So I give her a break, and not torment her like my usually co-workers from my last store, lol. Overall the move has been very broading and an awesome life experience. Hmm...I guess I should have just made a journal entry, aye? lol

HA! I can relate to the lack of cleanliness thing. I get real upset when people finish what they are doing and dont clean up after themselves. Including my boss who actually put up a note to remind us to clean up after ourselves. Yet she just leaves her mess for others to clean up. Its really frustrating. It's good that your bosses back you up.

ya, I've gone into total organizational mode there. Its so bad that I've had to get a notebook to keep up with everything, and soon I'll have a calender to keep up with upcomming events easier. I feel like Im "managing" my area of the bakery, which is really awesome. Its like a baby-step into learning how to manage a fresh area and move up. Plus, I ultimately want to have my own bakery, and this is kinda a learning what to do and what not to do thing.

yeah thats awesome. You sound way more hard working than me. I too would like to have my own bakery someday but my managing skills arent really up to snuff. And my boss is such a draconic tyrant that I really dont feel like I want to work on it because that would be helpful to her and I hate her very exsitance...but i digress. Have you thought of any names for your future bakery, yet?

Im working hard because its an oppertunity to progress into a dept manager possition. It may not be the bakery, but Im trying to get into a dept manager position so I can work on my "leadership" skills. Sounds corny, I know. You should come work with me. I can always use an extra hand with the area. I have thought about names randomly, but they are corny and horrible...so nothing to mention. Probably call it something like Bakery Chick. Just cuz the name has stuck so well. LOL. Oh We should totally go into biz together, but u'd have to move to tally.
