Usually if the Zelda_Exchange is active I tend to take part. I imagine playing a new Zelda game will produce art too. Looking forward to the Hyrule Warriors game & next Smashbros.

Probably not in the near future (am tripping over sketches and projects for other things, from illustrations for my husband's fantasy novels to fanart ideas for Frozen and Detective Conan) but I do love Majora's Mask. X3 Who knows?

zelda-exchange is basically a fandom swap, thanks to which that very same Majora's Mask art was made.
cyen started it off on Livejournal several years ago and I've taken part in as many of the swaps as I could. In fact I've just realized that I never put my other Majora's Mask picture produced through it in my Zelda art folder. You have seen this one right?

A bit like a secret Santa: everyone who signs up does so along with a list of the Zelda games they're familiar with and what sort of thing they'd like to make for the exchange (only fanfic? Or Fanart? Or everything from Cosplay to Scultpure/Music making? Any no-nos?) and some prompts they'd like to see made by someone else. The person in charge of the Exchange then collates all the prompts and assigns you the prompts given by someone else who signed up.

So the Milk Bar Gig picture I made for Fayoreix2 was based off her prompts that she gave when signing up:
1 -"Majora's Mask / Mikau and Japas(the bassist!) playing music and jamming ideas"
2 -"Ocarina of Time / Impa helping Sheik with disguise"
and
3 -"Majora's Mask / Anju/Kafei"
I found them all so inspiring that I squeezed all three prompts into one picture. It was fun!

And in exchange I got this lovely Picture of Impa with Princess Zelda after they fled the castle in OOT, by HikaruNo5.


It takes a while between signing up, getting prompts and finished pieces getting shared, and there hasn't been a round in an age (is a lot of work for the person organising), but I do love it. :3

I'd join this group but I don't really think I would have the time to make art for this, which saddens me. Once my commissions are over and I have some more time after my language course, maybe I could join. I'd love to get involved with this!
