Thankyou for the watch too! I do indeed make lace, but Im very much a beginner, so the pieces are not terribly challenging and for some reason they get all... wobbly. The center is pretty enough but its like the sides may have been too taught and so it bulges up in the middle when you place it flat on a table. Im hoping it'll sort itself once I iron it else im in trouble

Do you starch it? Sometimes a bit of hairspray helps, before you take it off the cushion
Good luck with your laces.

I have some lace starch in a bottle, which I use to sorta gently dab on the kinda pieces that are small/round(dont quite know how to explain ). This is a continuous string 5+ meters long already, so I havent been bothered to starch as I go(there's only 3-4cm fixed to the roller at a time).
is it possible to starch after if needed or will that end up messy?

Well I haven't starched anything after I took it off. Maybe if you iron it and starch it then it will be okay but you'll have to be really careful. I usually am in big fear that if I don't starch things they will lose shape so I starch everything a lot

hehe, its a really "firm" pattern so I doubt it has chance of losing shape, its just a small bulging on the center of the band I notice when I roll it up

Ill try and refrain from starching it, hopefully ironing will be enough.
Thanks a lot for your advice!
