sjalvandi! haha. it's not the kind of place you can only go once. plus i have an entire class in studentaskulin that i miss awfully. people in new zealand are so unlike the faroese. much less happy. that amazed me, how they're so happy! it's so dark in the winter and the weather is usually horrible and the place is so little, but they're alwas, always happy. I miss that most I think. but from what i've heard, it's much the same across scandinavia.

I know... it's the mentality I miss most. The rest of Scandinavia isn't quite like the Faroe's and Iceland, I'm sad to say. They're special

It's so true! I was lucky enough to spend 10 days in Iceland while I was there and what hit me was that it was just like the Faroes except with more stuff. I loved it, I'm hoping to go back there and work actually. Though knowing me, I'd wind up going right back to Havn ...
But yeah, the people are just incredible, that's really something you miss. The happiness in everything. And the culture, it's so old and beautiful. I've never been anywhere so patriotic and traditional.

Yup; it was the best Christmas ever because it was a lot more spiritual than in past years. It's ideal because I'm off to university in a couple of weeks... so it was nice to celebrate my last Christmas with the family in such a nice way. How was yours?
