to be honest? it was Brandur Enni :P (Lick) i found the name by chance on the internet. he's got a great voice and i've been listening to his songs to this day :) (Smile) and that led me to discover about the Faroe Islands...amazing how there's such wonderful treasures hidden in little places that one never knows of

you're not kidding. i know Brandur, met him once. while i was there he released a comeback album ... he's not so popular there though. but yeah, i was in a big band and his brother, Tróndur, played a concert with us as a guest trumpeter. it was pretty random.
But yes, the Faroes are amazing. You must definitely go there ASAP. i certainly am.

yes, it is actually fairly intense. also the band sic which is actually rather popular here in NZ, i was best friends with a girl who goes out with their bassist ... it's just so small there that everyone DOES know everyone. It also makes it very hard to get away with anything. Haha.

I recommend you go there for Ólavsöka. It's one hell of a party and they have rowing and speeches and singing and they all wear national costume. If you're very lucky, you might even catch a whaling. I did and it was amazing to say the least.

thanks. i just love to take sunrise/sunset shots around here. about 10 minutes away into the mountains, it gets absolutley amazing. gotta love big open sky and vibrant colors ^_^
