hello. unfortunately i have no connection to your life, i was simply looking around the world of technosorceries, and i came upon a desire to know of crests.
i thought i would attempt to offer some assistance on the subject and clear up any confusion...

this is a link to the MacDonough family crest. the one which was commented upon was a cassidy crest, denoted by its flat chevron. if it had been coloured, it would be to red lions rampant on a white field, with a silver-white boar on a red chevron....sorry if this was rude. on a side note, your work is really good. again, my apologies for an intrusion. fair fortune

I'm sorry- I'm on deviantart only sporadically, and am afraid I don't have a point of reference for your comment. Did I leave a comment somewhere? I'm afraid I do not recall, though I know the MacDonough crest well. It is odd that you mention the Cassidy crest, as I came across it just a few months ago, and was struck by the similarities between it and the MacDonough family crest.

that is my fault. despite realizing that i had not included a reference about what the subject was, i rudely did not offer any form of context.
i had been trying to find images of my family's crest, or any distant relatives. i came across a tattoo of the cassidy crest and noticed your comment underneath it. being something of a naive idiot, i attempted to offer assistance far out of day of the original question posed to the owner of the original picture. i thought it was kind of neat to find a similar crest for the macdonough family, and i hoped to show you and answer a question which i had thought was not answered early on...

Oh, no apology is necessary. I begin to remember the photo you are referencing. Was it just the black and white outline of it? I, too, thought it interesting to see so similar a crest, apart from the colorization.
