A seemingly ordinary day on the Praying Mantis. Pyrite is sitting alone in her quarters, charting a course to the uncharted Isle of Cortes's secret plunder, via the help of maps she had stolen from a small surviving aztec civilization, that which her warriors had raided, and their leader she had claimed as her own before killing him.Β
So far it seemed an ordinary days work. Or at least, it started looking like that,Β
A flash of dazzling lights like some living disco party gone wild interrupted her thoughts, her monkey hid behind a pile of books, and a jar of dark liquor shattered on the ground, and suddenly, Pyrite was not alone anymore. She figured this out, when the bottom most individual of the group that had landed on him suddenly began shouting. In the type of voice she only imagined an irate demon would make.
"AUGH! FUCKING HELL! RIGHT, WHERE ARE THOSE TWO SNOT NOSED, SHIT BRAINED, 50 POUND BAGS OF DICKS CALLED COLLIN AND JASPER!? WHEN I FIND OUT I'LL MAKE THEM WISH THEY HAD NEVER COME WITHIN 500 MILES OF THE INFINITY AMULET! IVAN YOU GET YOUR BIG, FAT, TAILED, SCALY, FUNKY HANS AND FRANZ ACCENTED ASS OFF MY FACE RIGHT THIS SECOND BEFORE I KICK IT OFF! WHY IN HELL'S GATES ARE WE MOVING SO SLOW!? WHERE ARE WE ANYWAY!? And what is this stuff that smells like fermented diesel oil? Another prank of the twins I suppose, I ain't even legal drinking age FYI."Β

"Me?" The bottom most one gets up. He's one of dark hair and hoodie, and behind a set of square glasses a pair of green eyes seem alight with irritation. "I am James Walker, the keeper of the Omega pen."Β
"He's also Harry Potter's hotheaded older brother." Two say from outside from outside.
"SO THAT'S WHERE YOUR HIDING YOU TWO DIRTY LITTLE FUCKTARDS! YOU BETTER SAY EVERY PRAYER YOU EVER HEARD BEFORE THAT I DON'T GET MY HANDS AROUND YOUR UGLY LITTLE NECKS!" James thunders past Pyrite out the door, to chase the two whom are presumably Collin and Jasper.Β
"Well, that's Jim." Another of brown hair, wearing a leather jacket says. "I'm Jodie, this is Alex, Ivan, Henry, Sarah and Penny. we're the transdimensional tooth fairies." He says jokingly.

"Alright listen! I don't know where you came from, but on my ship, you will be put to work. Get the angry one on the cannons. James, was it? To the brig!

James walks in, holding Collin and Jasper by their scruffs. They both have bushy hair, but Jasper wears a black vest and white shirt, cargo pants, and biker gloves. His brother wears a jersey, cargo pants, and a ball cap. "You want someone to put in the brig, make it these two." He growls. "All they'll ever do is fight over everything and nothing."
"Well he started it." Jasper mutters indignantly, to which his brother kicks him.
Alex meanwhile, who was minding his own business, tinkering with his robotic arm, accidentally catches a tiny slip of Pyrites leggings under her short dress when she walks. And, suffice to say, that was more then enough.
His face goes from white to red faster than an alarm light, and he suddenly tugs his leather jacket tight over his front, and runs out of the cabin.
"Aw shit. Y'all got porn lying around? Might wanna keep it locked up from now on." Collin mutters.

Pyrite is having a drink in a dark lit saloon, dark eyes upon her from all sides. She certainly seemed out of place in a midwest saloon so far from her ocean. But she was here about the legend of the Cursed Confederate gold. And like all pirates, she hungered for what shined just as brightly as a palmful of gold.
But in the harsh, burning sands of the midwest where outlaws reigned unchallenged, she was destined for competition, and confrontation.Β
The door opened, and the bar hushed. A sound of heavy boots alerted her, and a heavy blast of hot air on her neck that stank of whiskey and tobocco. And beside her sat the burly figure of a man who looked, and smelled, as if he hadn't seen a bath in years. His stench a mix of rotting animals, sweat, a never cleaned communal latrine, and campfire smoke. Under a wide brimmed dark hat bound with barbed wired, a set of reptillian eyes narrowed as he hissed in a low tone.
"Well blimey Fredrick. What we got'ere? This seagull's a looong way from the ocean ain't she?" He asks the bartender, leaning in closer, a wicked grin spread across his grimey, dark haired face. Teeth filed to points like a rattlesnake gleam dementedly.Β

Pyrite grimaced and fanned her nose in disgust. "Get your stink out of my nose, cretin." Β Β

"Name ain't cretin sailor." He says, still smiling dementedly but thankfully leaning back, giving Pyrite fresh air. She sees a rattlesnake wind its way into the outlaws hand. "Call me Johnny. Diamondback Johnny."Β

"I suppose you want something. Well if it's a good time you're after, you can look elsewhere."Β

Diamondback Johnny only laughs hideously at this comment, joined by several others. "Only one thing I can think of to bring such fine a specimen as ye into these here parts. After all, what poor fella ain't after all that cursed confederate gold we be talkin' about?"Β

"Yes, I've heard of the gold. Do you know where it is, or are you going to continue stinking up what little fresh air there is in this stint of a town."Β

Diamondback Johnny only smiles wickedly. "I might. I might also know it be real dangerous business for sailors to be'a goin where there ain't no sea for miles around, looking for a treasure that rightfully belongs to we who run the west. The midwest ain't safe for ya, sea bird. Here there be rattlesnakes."Β

"Listen, Cowboy! I know what I'm doing, I can handle myself just fine, and for the record, the briny depths hold terrors far more dangerous then snakes. So, unless you are going to help me find it, I suggest you find some other floozie to torment." Β

"Aye, I can take ye to it." Johnny mutters, chewing on a cigar. "An equal share of the spoils be in order methinks though."Β

Diamondback Johnny stands up, leading you to the door when the bartender interrupts, grabbing a shotgun. "Hey you! You gon' pay for that-" He is cut short by a loud blast, falling flat on his face over the counter, while the eight barrels on Diamondback Johnnies signature rifle smoke.Β
"No." He replies, smiling wickedly at onlookers. "What'd I tell ya sailor? We run this west now us outlaws. Makes pickings a bit easier an uninteresting I will admit though. Kinda miss the days when someone fought back when you tried to make off with their cash..."Β

*Naugrim takes a defensive position, facing Pyrite and holding a dark saber up* "Fascinating. For a whiskey stinking flint hearted thief you seem well versed in this art."Β

*{Pyrite smiles, holding up her own cutlass.* "Why Naugrim, how you do flatter me. If you weren't a pompous, wine sipping pretty boy, I'd consider falling for you. Β

"Tempting offer of a pirate to make." Naugrim replies, binding her sword up. "But someone else stole my heart already." His sword returns, aiming for Pyrites neck.Β

*Pyrite blocks with her own sword, and slashes at Naugrim's stomach.Β

Naugrim seems to dissipate into nothing, but a saber suddenly raises itself to Pyrite's neck from behind. "All manner of war, is based on deception." Naugrim tells her smoothly.

*Pyrite whirls around to slash the sword out of the way.* "Don't try to trick a trickster."Β

Naugrim parries this, sweeping his saber back to point downwards, held across his front. "The student does not best the master."Β
