I'm not sure. I've been using instagram a lot more recently because I don't have a lot of "finished, deviantART worthy stuff" so instagram is a lot more casual and easy. Also a lot of my design stuff is going towards work that I'm doing for other people so I'm not exactly sure what I can and can't post on here. YEah.

Hmmm.... good question.
Well, first of all, don't be afraid to put your work out there, even if you think it's not worthy (Although I'm a mega hypocrite for saying that).
Expand your audience. Join Groups and submit your work there, and visit the forums to meet other people. You never know what new friends you'll make.
Talk to your supporters and watchers. Be friendly!
Keep practicing and improving your work.
Most of all, don't think too much about the watchers, faves, and comments. Art is about the simple joy of creating something beautiful, not about the fame. As long as you enjoy what you're doing and continue to make art, people will naturally come and support you and your work! (:
