Ahhhh I see your excited about the Ultra XD I'm curious because it is supposed to be an alternate story? I'm also pretty interested about the mainline Pokemon game for Switch as well OuO Very exciting stuff in the future, eh? I've got a friend who speculates the mainline one is the Diamond/Pearl remakes. What do you think? XD

Indeed I am. Can't wait to see what changes that whole alternate story thing will bring about. Mostly what I wanna learn more about are those new forms of Solgaleo and Lunala or Necrozma. Indeed we know so little, it is not even for certain, wether Necrozma is just used as armor, or if those two are some sort of apparitions created by the Prism Pokémon, thus making some kinda Kyurem deal of this. That mainline game for the Switch sounds promising and given how they want to stay unpredictable, it would be funny to start things of with a remake for the new platform. That would also allow for a better gen VIII as they could do the typical engine polishing after they got used to the new engine. Also Dialga and Palkia as well as Giratina deserve betterment, now that Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza are so much more powerful. Not to even mention Arceus, who should not be 2nd to anyone in terms of stat total. Actually... they could do a Delta Episode kinda deal and make it accessible in regular gameplay, like how they did for Deoxys before. So many things that could be done but we can only wait and see what happens.

That's cool! I was still a tiny toddler when the first games came out so the first one I ever got into was actually gold and silver.

(Here comes a rather long story that you needn't reply to) I say both because they were on a XX in 1 dodgy cartridge thing bought in Hong Kong. Also, it was in japanese so I didn't get very far into the game - I had no idea what they were saying. It took me so many guesses... batteries... resets (it didn't save) to try and figure out everything. I remember thinking I was only able to carry 6 pokemon around with me and they would stick with me until the first gym. After that, I couldn't get any further because I didn't know what the shaking tree was (turns out you needed to teach somebody Cut but I didn't know that XD I still loved the game even if it felt like a demo and the writing was some strange hieroglyphics to me). The next Pokemon game I had was Platinum and I finished it with as much effort as I could put in (also a dodgy cartridge so it froze a lot and the save time was horrendous). I'm not sure if I should count these games as the 'real' first Pokemon games I've played. XD The first game that was actually genuine and worked was SoulSilver and that was a lot of nostalgia from playing the dodgy Gold/Silver. XD I'd love it if I could get my hands on the first editions when I save up enough money, although they'll probably cost a lot by the time I do. I'll never give up! T^T

(It's always nice to share stories with others and that's quite an interesting one so here's a bit of my nostalgia in return. )
My first experience with Pokémon was with the Blue version and Squirtle was my first partner. Still got them memories of me pronouncing Tackle as if it was a german word and a classic mistake with Teenagers. You know how "Tee" translates to tea and "Nager" is rodent? That's why I always wondered what kind of rodent would have a thing for tea. Another thing that was a keeper for me was the trouble of training my Dragonair to become a Dragonite near Mt. Silver. The reason for this being of significance was my Gameboy Color running out of energy and I was about to have no way to play for a week or two because that was during the holidays. Actually I wasn't even allowed to play games, thus no batteries anywhere. Just seconds after Dragonair evolved and I saved, the game turned off and the batteries were done for. It was a race to the finish right there and Dragonair won it like a boss. However Hoenn makes the sweetest memories for me. After all it is the region that changed so many things and it brought two of my all time favorites, namely Gardevoir and Mawile. Together with all those possibilities given with Secret Bases and Contests the Ruby version was the best thing I played back then on the Gameboy Advance. That was only surpassed by the Emerald version and now ORAS took the helm after all those years coming with Hoenn better than ever. The series made my childhood so much better and still plays a big role in my life. That's why I'll always support it and stay side by side with my Pokémon till the world ends. >w<

Ahaha, I think the small things like not knowing what things meant make the games so much more nostalgic. It was basically a real-life journey, learning and having fun along the way. Talking about batteries, I remember that my mother would always ask my dad and I where all the batteries had disappeared to. XD I just spent so much time on the games, using up quite literally, boxes of batteries. Ahaha, well done to your Dragonair! ^_^ Dragonair is one of my team favourites, it's not as strong as Dragonite but I love it's design and the fact that it's a dragon! Ah, I see! I can imagine how much of a nostalgia trip it was for you as SoulSilver was for me. The Hoenn region is still quite an amazing region to explore though! Yeah! Pokemon is forever a big part of my life and it's not going to end anytime soon haha! I really don't know what to expect for the next game from Game Freak - it could be Z, X2, Y2? O^O

Indeed nostalgia can be ever so sweet. Using batteries up box wise sounds kinda familiar too me. Sadly that Dragonair never made it further considering the separation between the first two gens and all later ones... still it's nice to remember and it really looks beautiful. Kinda makes me wish they kept the theme going instead of changing so much with Dragonite. Indeed the remakes were quite a nostalgia trip and the new Hoenn region is just as much. The next thing I see coming would be ZX and ZY. That would play with Zygarde, if it got two different forms or Mega Evolutions. Like Mega Zygarde X (ZX) and Mega Zygarde Y (ZY). Probably it works similar to Rayquaza where it only needs a signature move to achieve that power. It would make sense with Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves, which are those two ominous moves similar to Land's Wrath. Maybe it gets to learn either move in the corresponding games? Well, only future will tell what comes next.

I can't imagine what a mega zygarde would look like. But it should be very cool! The future is going to be very interesting. It's hard to predict Game Freak's twist and turns of plots.

And hey, art block is normal. Just take a break and refresh your mind. Have a walk through the metaphorical museum of deviantart and see what others are up to? Maybe you'll find some inspiration? Your fans will wait when you think the time is ready. ^_^ 

By the way, do you watch the pokemon movies? The new one featuring Hoopa looks really interesting!

It was an up and down but at times it was rather boring.

Hopefully the next games will give Zygarde an important role.
No idea if sequels, a third version or something else will be next, but
they better come up with something, that justifies those two variations
of Land's Wrath. It just reminds so much of Kyurem, which already had
the signature moves of its fused forms but couldn't get them before B2/W2.

Yeah, things like art block can happen to anyone right? Guess I have to rekindle
my interest in drawing stuff and get back into it.

Of course I watch the movies (Diancie was just too adorable in the last one >w< ) and the
one with Hoopa gonna be epic with legendaries all over the place.

XD Maybe I'll go to the cinema and watch something sometime this week. There's not much hype for Tomorrowland but it looks interesting. If not, Avengers? ^_^

That's a hope for me too! They didn't really have much of a storyline with Zygarde in X and Y apart from the guy in the scary house who told us the story.

I'm wondering what to draw too since it's been so long since I last drew anything - about a year? Maybe I'll work on Pokemon as a mini project since we're on the topic anyway haha.

Yeah! And when Team Rocket asked Diancie to produce all those diamonds... that must have so difficult to animate! XD But Diancie is a really cute character. I know, right? Is it going to be an all-out legendary fight? (Since some of them don't seem to like each other much). Also, did you see an evil Ash in the preview? What's that about? XD It's too exciting!

cool movie.

There was an npc talking about Zygarde? Strange, I don't remember that at all.
As far as I remember the guy in the scary house only had some sorta creepypasta about
faceless men or something.

Sometimes such mini projects are really the best thing to do so go for it.

That scene sure must've taken lots of effort to get right. Indeed Diancie is cute and thanks
to the Mega Evolution there's also grace given to this adorable diamond princess.
Somehow I think they realized, that fights between legendaries are always a much wanted thing
and if so, why not go all out with the idea? Sure saw the preview and that was kinda surprising.
Though Hoopa seems to have different names for Ash and Pikachu... maybe that evil Ash is not the one
we know? So many shenanigans with those ring portals, there's no telling what will happen.

Haha, perhaps I can find some sort of inspiration in my dreams ^_^ My brain has a tendency to make up some very unique landscapes although I'm terrible at putting those landscapes to paper. Oh well. Another friend also recommended that I watch that as well. Coincidence? XD Maybe it is just that good! Have you been to the cinema alone before? I'm thinking of doing that but a little nervous haha. 

Hm... maybe I should have reworded that better, sorry! The man inside the house tells you a story about another man who sees a"horde of faceless men". It's been theorised that the spines on Zygardes back could look similar to the man's description. In a dark area, the green shapes are eyes(?) and the spines are the bodies(?) so they look like a group of faceless men? It's a very vague description, now that I think about it haha.    

Alrighty, I'll spend some time working on some favourite pokemon of each type of mine hehe. It's actually quite difficult because for some types, I have more than one favourite ^_^' 

Haha, yeah, Diancie is very princess-like when she mega-evolves. Yes, even I'm very curious to see how this movie will turn out. Hm... maybe it's like a Zoroark situation? I don't quite remember if Zoroark had red eyes when it imitated another person though. But that would be strange since Zoroark isn't a legendary. I guess they're doing a good job keeping us in suspense! ^_^ Do you have a particular favourite pokemon movie?

Wow, that's something we have in common there. Sometimes my dreams
get so detailed, that I could describe the ins and outs of buildings that appear
in them. Indeed the movie is just awesome. It even has a fan favorite battle,
that many were looking forward to see in the cinematic marvel universe. I kinda prefer
to have company in the cinema to share the experience with. So yeah, rarely seen a movie
all by myself.

Ah, that makes sense, though I don't think they would do it like that. To me it seems like one of
those purposely scary things, that they put in every version since R/B/Y with all the things in Lavender Town.
They seem fond of throwing in stuff like that as a popularity factor since then, seeing how such things quickly
cause many reactions and discussions all over the web.

Doing a single Pokémon is easy, but with more you can make lots of scenes. For instance my favorite Fairy-types
are Diancie, Gardevoir and Mawile. One thing I like to imagine is the three of them in their Mega Evolved forms.
Something like Mega Gardevoir holding a pink diamond it received from Mega Diancie and on the other side
Mega Mawile shyly pulling at one of those long veils Mega Diancie has, because it wants a diamond as well.

It kinda surprises me everytime, when they make genderless Pokémon and then attribute them like this. They did
that with Meloetta and now there's Diancie. The only reason I could see for the lack of gender is an effort to make
them immune to infatuation during battles and for continuity with the other event legendaries.
Now that you mention it, that really might be Zoroark. After all there was one in the movie with the legendary beast trio.
While I'm not sure about the red eyes I coulda sworn the purple aura was a thing before. Guess we'll see in the movie.
My favorite for the longest time was the 4th one (Celebi was just so adorable) though now it is the one with Diancie.
(That might be easy to guess since it stars my newest favorite, who is a lovely diamond princess)

Yeah, what you said is probably most likely. XD I secretly admire the dark side of Pokemon. Like in B2W2 with the girl in the creepy house and her story with Darkrai. I want to know the explanation of the ghost girl in Lumiose city though or if she even is a ghost in the first place. o_o  

Sure, I’ll do that with types I have more than one favourite pokemon but I’ll keep it to 3 max. That’s a cute scenario haha! Maybe you could attempt it? ^_^ All the mega evos have been very nicely designed and I do particularly like Mega Gardevoir’s shiny form with that black ‘dress’.  

I agree with the continuity thing. But maybe also preventing gender discrimination? Mewtwo is genderless and in the movies, has been voiced by a male and female actors. To stop the fans from saying Mewtwo is male? I really don’t know. XD If the movie’s out in Japan in July, the movie’s probably coming out sometime in Winter time in Europe, I suppose. It’s a movie not to be missed for sure! Ahaha, I should have guessed! My favourite(s) are the one with Latias and Latios and also the one with Manaphy. I’m a sucker for movies that feature water I guess! XD But all the pokemon movies never fail to make me cry when the sad moments happen and the movie with Celebi did just that. T_T
