Yeah, I created an additional translucency map, started Reality and Photoshop und tried to locate some pattern in an overlay of the original diffuse texture map. And then I painted with a low opacity brush, started a render, looked how it came out, then back to painting, starting another render ...and so on. It's possible to some degree to do that in DAZ directly (since the translucency is visible in the scene) but I found it even more tedious since you habe to save every step into its own file; DAZ does not update the map even when it's underlying file changes - and starting the Lux renderer from Reality takes less time than restarting DAZ, for example.

And it's sinking in right now. For the majority of the last 9 months it's been kinda abstract. You can feel the baby moving, but the concept that you are going to have another person in the house is just that, a concept.
Now that it's almost time, it feels a heck of a lot more real.
