Hey there. I am working on a cover image for a PDF that I'm putting together, and I would love to use one of your katana images for part of the logo! If you're interested, let me know!

Hey, nice work on the maps! Which katana image were you thinking about? You can use whatever you like, but some sort of linkback or at least a little recognition would be nice. You do good work, do you do maps for novels? My novels still have a ways to go, but I'm just putting out the feelers.

Thanks! I was looking at the 'Katana, Oda Nobunaga' image particularly. I am not sure whether I'll use it sheathed or unsheathed yet, but I would likely incorporate it into the logo for one of my product lines on RPGNow. If I end up using it, I will definitely find some space on the readme page for image attribution. my e-mail address is posted on my profile, if you want to send me your real name. I can send you an example of what I'd use it for too.
I've done maps for novels before, though normally my work ends up in RPG products. I definitely do commissions, so feel free to keep me in mind when the time comes! Also, some of the best cartographers on the web can be found at The Cartographer's Guild: [link]

Sure, go right ahead. As for the novel map, if you're gonna put something of mine in something you do, I gotta put something of your in something I do. Balance, you know? My real name is all over this page (I'm an author, so no point in hiding it anyway, and an example of what you'd use it for would be cool.
And if you do what I think you do, let me know if you need any pictures of historic/fantasy bows. I'm always up to making things for fun when I have the time. I could always use suggestion for making bows, as some of the most fun to make are the ones that make the least sense.

Thanks so much for the kind words, sorry it took me so long to respond but I got attacked by the plague the same week as I start my new 5am work shift so I've been a bit out of sorts. I actually just sold the Donn bow, my first sale off Etsy and the girl who bought it is actually using it as her main archery bow, which is especially fun because I was just making them as sculptural pieces, so far it seems to be working out just fine and its backed with silk so I'm hoping it should have a long life. I'm planning out a recurve bow as my next project, hopefully I'll have it done in a few weeks, I'd love any advice you have with recurve construction since it will be my first attempt.

love that Persian thumb-ring. how does it compare to a Japanese-style reinforced-leather thumb+2-finger glove?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Tigermano In reply to demosthenes1blackops [2011-07-27 21:58:43 +0000 UTC]
Thanks, I'd have to say that the draw is almost the same, but the glove definitely helps a lot more than the ring. The one I have up right now is pretty good for making the draw painless on the thumb and the release is clean enough. My favorite ring, with the cleanest release, still puts a lot of pressure on the thumb, so it's not so great for shooting all day. I'd rather use a glove for a day at the range.

Your stuff is so cool, is there anyway i can convince you to make me something for college like some pens or pencils or maybe (if you feel ambitious) an art bin to keep my drawing supplies in .

Thanks, man. I can make whatever you want, just as long as you could pay shipping and at least my material cost. Whatever you want, we'll talk about it and figure it out.
And yeah, Matt got into the academy. I'm not sure what he's going to do about holidays, but yeah, it is a bitch (your language is excused).

Wassup bro? How've ya been? Saw a nice pen in Germany I thought you might like, but they told me at the cashier that it was 510 euros, not 5,10. I was like "WTF? 500 for a pen?" Turns out the company that made the pens was over 300 years old, and that the current exchange rate is $1.60 to 1 euro. Seriously, a 500 euro pen in a tourist shop without even so much as an alarm?
Oh well, give me a holla some time 'k?
p.s. It's been like how many years since I updated this account?
