I don't actually smith the steel, I just design and handcraft custom folding knives. The Damascus I used for Red Forest Woodsman was folded by a smith named Mike Norris. I understand that there is a number of ways to forge and fold the steel to get various pattern results. If you run a search for "making damascus" you may find a technique that could, with practice, serve your needs. I wish you all the best with your smithing! I hope you are well!

Ah, I see. Thanks for the info! Yes, there are several tutorials online but there is an unbelievable amount of patterns and not all of them are commonly known how to make. Smithes have there secrets too ^^ !
