OK, a few basic guidelines for using Apo (not hard rules):

1) Set Variations at 1 to 2
2) set variation types 2 plcs
3) Stay with Linear variation in beginning
4) set gradient at randon preset
5) Density at 100 2 plcs
6) Keep Adjust and editor windows open always
7) Maximise window and do screen capture (not save to file)
read help files
