You're welcome ^^.
If you use the ruller like you do know, you loose all the dynamism on your background. It's one of the first thing i learned when i started drawing backgrounds: NEVER use a ruller.

Come on, being in Deviantart is not about getting people to like your art. So don't worry too much about that. Anyway, you are here to have some fun! Why do you care whether others approve of your stuff? You are absolutely better at anime than me, so why not you work on that and perhaps you can produce really fantastic artwork which could be better than more experienced artists :) (Smile)
