Jesse walked down the sidewalk, the fifth sidewalk he walked down that night looking for his curiously elusive hotel that he had checked into six hours prior. He was sure it was on this street, but then again that's what he had said about the other four streets as well. He stopped walking and looked behind him, hoping that he had somehow happened to pass his hotel. What was the name of it again? The Trade-Inn, The Nightly-Inn, oh for fucks sake those weren't even close.
Five Years by David Bowie began to play causing Jesse to pat his pockets in search for his phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey, did you make it back to your hotel yet?"
"No, I'm somewhere on Punnet street, next to what looks like a strip joint." Jesse answered Roy, as he started back the way he began.
"Just sit still, I'll send a car after you. Don't forget the meeting tomorrow, talk to you later." Jesse hung up and looked around the street again. What was he supposed to do for the next, however long it took for the car to get here?
"Hey, do you need help?" Jesse turned around and saw a scantily dressed woman walking out of the club. Jesse looked her over, and raised his eyebrows. She was covered in glitter, her eye make-up was smudged, and her lips swollen.
"A car is coming, thanks though." She nodded taking out a cigarette and lighting it. "Those will kill you." The girl grimaced and nodded.
"Don't I know it? I'm Morgan by the way."
"Jesse." Silence. "So, you work at that club?" He motioned to the club behind them.
"Yeah, yeah I do. Iβm not ashamed about it either, just so you know." She seemed to blurt out.
"I didnβt say anything."
"You were thinking it though, they all do. They all think about the sleazy strip joint." She mumbled as a cold wind passed them causing a shiver to run through the girl, Morgan. Skimpy dressings donβt provide warmth. Jesse thought not speaking in case the girl talked more. Jesse sighed checking his watch to see how much time had passed in this silence. Fifteen minutes. Only freaking fifteen minutes. "Iβm waiting for a cab to take me to friendβs house." Jesse nodded biting on his bottom lip.
Again silence for the following ten minutes, causing Jesse to tap his fingers furiously on his arm. At last lights came from the distance belonging to a black town car.
"Iβm here for a Jesse Hammons." The driver spoke, once he walked around to the passenger side of the car.
"Thatβs me." Jesse spoke as he opened the back car door and slid in the seat.
"Sir, does your friend need a ride as well?" The driver asked as he slid back into the driverβs seat.
"I should think not. She said a cab was on its way." The driverβs eyes furrowed his face contorted in confusion.
"Forgive me sir, but cabs do not run our here this late at night."
"God damn it, well you might as well invite her." Jesse cursed as the driver exited the car once more moments before the back door opened and the girl climbed into the car.
"Thanks for the invite. I didnβt expect it from you, I have to say."
"You didnβt have to accept."
"Where do you need let off maβam?" The driver asked looking into the back seat amused.
"Oh, umβ¦" She trailed off staring out the window.
"Didnβt you say you were going to a friendβs house?" Jesse asked hoping to supply an answer.
"Oh, well, you can just let me off where heβs getting off, I can ring her when we get there." Jesse looked at the driver, one eyebrow cocked in disbelief. They driver nodded and pulled away from the curb heading in the direction of Jesseβs hotel.
The three sat in silence for ten minutes, but for what felt like an hour. "You donβt have a place to stay." Jesse stated bluntly causing the driver to attempt to hide a smirk, and fail.
"Well, you could day, something of the like and not necessarily be wrong of course." Morgan spoke not exactly making eye contact with either the driver or the rather annoyed person next to her.
"I most certainly do not care to sort this matter out tonight. Stay in my room for all I care tonight. Just get to the hotel quickly, Iβm tired."

"This is your hotel room?" Morgan asked stepping into what seemed to be the penthouse. Jesse shrugged.
"I suppose itβs whatever Roy books. I donβt really care of the state of them." Jesse spoke as he headed to the bedroom, closing the door and promptly falling asleep.
"Thanks then."
Jesse woke-up the next morning and stretched lazily in the hotel bed. "Some dream." He mumbled replaying the dream where he took the stripper to his hotel. He would never be that unsafe, right? He stood up out of bed, trying to remember if he had unpacked his slippers or not, of course the answer was no. He never seemed to unpack anything he needed.
He looked at the clothes now wrinkled to hell that had been from last night. Black suit pants, white, long-sleeve, button up shirt, simple, tidy, wrinkled to hell. Stripping, he walked to his open suitcases on the other side of the room, searching for new clothes.
"Hey, I heard you moving, thatβs a butt." Jesse spun to find, Morgan, hands now over her eyes standing in the doorway. "I heard you moving, I was wondering if you were hungry. I was going to see if you wanted to order room service, or I could go to a store." Morgan rambled.
"For Christ sakes, go order food, let me get dressed." Morgan nodded and backed out of the room closing the door behind her. "No one knocks anymore. For fucks sake." Jesse mumbled pulling clothes out and rapidly pulling them on in case Morgan decided to make another unexpected entry. Five was heard again playing in the hotel room. Jesse froze trying to pinpoint where exactly the sound was coming from. Pants. He decided picking up the disposed of pants and rooting around in the pockets. "Hello?" Jesse had neglected to look at the caller I.D, as he folded the old pants and placed them next to the suitcase.
"Jesse, the driver called and said he dropped you off at your hotel." Jesse made a sound that could count as affirmative. "With a girl."
"Apparently so, I thought it was a dream."
"I didnβt take you for the type." Jesse paused mid stride, not responding. Could Jesse be clasiffied as having a type or for being a type for that matter? What did that even mean? 'Type', such an odd thing. At any point though was Jesse the 'type' to bring home practically a complete a stranger, let her stay the night, and then order food himself. Was anyone that type? In all honesty it seemed like the only person that would classify as that type would be those who had a death wish. "Jesse, you still there?"
"Hmm, oh yes, I am. Just thinking. Was there a point in this call, or are you just calling to tell me what I already know?"
"I'm assuming you haven't checked your e-mail this morning." Roy paused as if waiting for a reply, but of course he didn't expect one. "There was an e-mail sent out, an emergency meeting is being called for at nine thirty, main conference room at work. Jerome expects you there." Jesse nodded as Roy spoke leaving the bedroom, seeing the woman, Morgan, eating standing up by the cart.
"Alright, I'll be there, but they should really find a more efficent means of getting notices out." Jesse could have sworn he could hear Roy rolling his eyes before the line went silent. "Standing up while eating is bad for your digestion." Morgan's hand froze, pancakes halfway to her mouth.
"Um, alright?" Mogan's eyes arched not understanding why he was telling her this. The pancakes finished their trup, ending with Morgan satisfied.
"Thoght you should know. Some stuides say it can cause weight gain." Jesse continued while he fixed a bowl of ceral for himself.
"And some studies say this food is delicous, and I was hungry." Jesse shrugged and sat at the small table with his bowl.
"I have a meeting at ten." Jesse spoke after a minute of silence. Morgan turned to look at a clock, frowning at the time. "I'll have to leave around nine fifteen, that's," He paused checking the clock as well.
"Twenty-six minutes." Morgan spoke before eating more pancakes.
"Yes, I'll have a car drive you where you want when I leave, and I suppose that's that." Jesse went back to eating his ceral. Morgan nodded seeming somewhat crestfallen. "I can't have you stay here of course, as it's been pointed out, I'm not the type." The rest of the twenty-four minutes passed in silence as each did his or her own thing.
At last Jesse stood up placing the bowl on the cart, collected his phone, wallet, and badge. They rode in silence in the elevator to the the lobby and finally Jesse spoke "I've called a car for you. It was a pleasure to meet you of course." They shared a brief handshake and then they both parted their ways. Jesse to his meeting and Morgan, God knows where.

Posting it publicly? Well, alright then.
In all seriousness though, this is great. Though if you'd told me the question of coffee or tea was for the story, I would have said tea. I can picture fictional me drinking tea in the morning. Definitely not coffee though. Yuck.
Is there more planned for this? I'm not pushing you to do anything, I'm just curious. I really do enjoy these. Hell, I would read a thousand-page novel based on this premise.

You should be working on my stories.
Just felt like a reminder might be necessary.

Hmm. I actually don't know anything about that one, and I can't find a single review of it. It'll probably be entertaining, then. Usually when they're bad you hear about it, and if they're not bad then they're at the very least enjoyable.

Of course There's a book called 'The name of the wind'
it's awesome! If you haven't read it yet, you should definitely
do it, there's also a second part) and one of the
charakters is named 'Sovoy'. Actually I wanted to call
myself 'Sovoy', but that name was already claimed, so I
added the 21.
