Most of them are minions of a group of especially vile ugly trolls.
I'll send you a note and give you the name of one of their other targets.

I've seen your comments on other peoples' pages saying similar things. But I have seen no evidence of this bullying you say is going on. I haven't been contacted in any way by anyone making specific threats or even disparaging comments about myself. In fact, I've got something very interesting to tell you, as soon as I've ascertained what exactly is going on here.

I was going to give to you a Llama Badge.
Then I checked, and apparently I already gave you one.
And since cake badges cost points (and since I have none), I can only simply wish you a pleasant Birthday.
If such is all right with you.

Thanks very much! I hope to continue it soon. I've been too wrapped up in the new one, and I wrote myself into a corner in the only draft I did of the next chapter, so I haven't had a chance to do anything more, but I hope when I do I don't disappoint you.

I'll remember to ask you if I'm still stumped. I would be thankful for the help.
I should warn you, if we ever do, I'm horrible at it. I generally don't do very well at strategy games even though I absolutely love them. I still haven't even beaten the original.

im generally good at most games but i havent done multiplayer for this yet XD
between you and me, i havent played the original, cant get it cause i cant run the game on this comp but i've seen a LOT of walkthroughs and gameplay and damn its one of the best games ever!
you should use the Geoscape music at some point just cause of how awesome it is XD

Can't run the game? Do you mean the Steam version? It has a lot of problems to get working. I would recommend following these instructions: [link]
It wouldn't work on my computer either until I did that, and now it runs perfectly.

I have. The X-Com wiki is a great source of information on the games, and that's where I found them. They make a lot of sense.

You get used to it, and then you start to expect it, which leads to preparing for it, which leads to being ready for it, which leads to gaining an advantage even though it happens, which leads to winning the game.
I'm somewhere in the middle there.

i like how the new Xcom still has the "overwhelming odds" feel of the old one and how you can still come out on top
you'll be on top soon
whats your Steam account so i can add you and maybe play some day

Hopefully so. I recently bought the physical manual just to have it, and also because it's about the length of a short book. I think it might help me out, since a lot of the buttons on the menu are seldom-used, but are explained in full in the manual.
My Steam account is the same as my dA account, joethulhu.

I didn't block you because of that, I blocked you because I was annoyed at you. I have a bit of a short temper when people keep bringing up the exact same points over and over. I'm not going to read the other comment you posted, so I'm sorry if you put a lot of effort into it but I'm done with this discussion. The points have been made and that's the end of it.

Hello there.
Actually, there was something I wanted to tell you. I have a book called Is This the Real Life: The Untold Story of Queen that I just got about two weeks ago (it's a very good book, by the way) and it had a section about the album they made with Paul Rogers. There's a quote from Roger Taylor that I thought was hilarious:
"Of course there's people who will moan 'oh, Freddie's not on it.' Of course he's not, you dickhead."

alexjackson1988 In reply to joethulhu [2012-01-14 06:40:20 +0000 UTC]
That is actually pretty funny. Though I would hate to be personally insulted by Roger Taylor. That would probably crush me.

I'm sure anyone would hate to be personally insulted by any member of Queen.

Well, I don't know about John. He's kinda quiet.
Or so I'm led to believe.

joethulhu In reply to alexjackson1988 [2012-01-14 06:56:23 +0000 UTC]
Quiet, unless he's talking about how much he hates Robbie Williams. There are hardly any quotes from him in the book, but then...
"I didn't want to be involved with it, and I'm glad. I've heard what they did and I think it's rubbish. It's one of the greatest songs ever written, but I think they've ruined it. I don't want to be nasty but let's just say Robbie Williams is no Freddie Mercury. Freddie can never be replaced - and certainly not by him."
He's talking about this: [link]
For John Deacon, that's the equivalent of throwing a TV out the window and cussing up a storm, then punching Brian May in the face with the butt of his bass.

alexjackson1988 In reply to joethulhu [2012-01-14 07:06:54 +0000 UTC]
I have to agree with him. How dare Robbie do that to the song.
I'd pay money to see him punch Brian with his bass. That would be hilarious. Or that'd be the best episode of the greatest sitcom of all time. (Hypothetically.)

joethulhu In reply to alexjackson1988 [2012-01-14 07:10:17 +0000 UTC]
I like Robbie Williams alright, but it's true that it doesn't make sense to do that. Even to a song I've never really liked all that much. It just doesn't fit. I have no idea why Brian and Roger agreed to play on it.
Well, maybe it'll be in the biopic. I don't actually know if you knew about that - they're making a Queen film, with Sacha Baron Cohen playing Freddie.

alexjackson1988 In reply to joethulhu [2012-01-14 07:16:39 +0000 UTC]
Well, because they're the only people who can do that song justice in terms of instruments.
People keep stealing my ideas!! Sigh.
